when more than one page fit the zathura window (i.e. you have plenty of vertical space, or the document pages are much more wide than they are high) the page count is not correctly updated, and pageUP/pageDOWN navigation breaks. This can be particularly noticeable (and annoying) when using a monitor in portrait mode, among the other things. To reproduce, open a document and resize the window like a slim vertical pane, like 5 to 10 times more high than wide, enough to accomodate at least two pages in best-fit or width mode (they should behave the same in this use case). For example with two full pages and 1/4 of the third one filling the window, starting from page 1, this is what happens: [step] [KEY] [page count] 0 - 1 // displayed: 1, 2, a bit of 3 1 PgDn 2 // displayed: ~half 1, 2, ~half 3 2 PgUp 2 // displayed: 1, 2, a bit of 3 3 PgDn 3 // displayed: ~half 2, 3, ~half 4 So, in step 2 we are in practice back to what was displayed at the beginning (0), but now with a wrong page count of 2 instead of 1. So on the following PgDn there is actually a jump from page 1 to page 3, while we should visualize the same pages as in step 1. In other words the sequence page down/up/down doesn't leave the view unchanged as one would expect.
