Can I ask you to update the fonts-noto package for Debian from the latest upstream? Recently an annoying bug was fixed which affects a lot of users with the Cyrillic-based writing systems: Ukrainian, Belarusian, Serbian (Cyrillic), Macedonian, etc. See more info here https://github.com/googlefonts/noto-fonts/issues/1051 and here https://github.com/googlefonts/noto-source/pull/125. I really want this fix to be included in the next upcoming Debian release and also Ubuntu LTS.
