Package: glabels Version: 3.4.1-1.1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
When I try to generate labels from CSV files, words containing accents or Umlaute are ignored. Steps to reproduce: 1 - Create a CSV data source file, e.g. plain text containing this: FName1,LName1 Heinz,Müller Henri,Têt FName2,LName2 2 - Launch glabels. Create an (empty) glabels file using label templates, e.g. Avery 7160. 3 - Merge > Properties and select the CSV file above. 4 - "Expand" the file preview. Already at this stage we can can see that the words with accents or Umlauts are not shown in the preview. If you try to use these fileds, nothing is printed (i.e. "empty text"). The other lines are not affected. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=fr_CH.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_CH.UTF-8 (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C), LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages glabels depends on: ii dpkg 1.19.7 ii glabels-data 3.4.1-1.1 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-4 ii libebook-1.2-19 3.30.5-1 ii libebook-contacts-1.2-2 3.30.5-1 ii libedataserver-1.2-23 3.30.5-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.38.1+dfsg-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.58.3-2+deb10u2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.5-1 ii libiec16022-0 0.2.4-1.2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.42.4-7~deb10u1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.42.4-7~deb10u1 ii libqrencode4 4.0.2-1 ii librsvg2-2 2.44.10-2.1 ii libxml2 2.9.4+dfsg1-7+b3 Versions of packages glabels recommends: ii evince 3.30.2-3+deb10u1 Versions of packages glabels suggests: pn evolution-data-server <none> -- no debconf information
