See #916508 for the situation where former maintainer filed and RC bug against his own package before orphaning it to request that someone commits to do security support for this package if it should be included in buster, bullseye, .... Noone has stepped up so far (and I bet noone will), so why not file a proper RM request for it.... If anyone is willing to take on this package they can always revive it from snapshot.debian.org.
