Package: linux-image-4.19.0-8-amd64
Version: 4.19.98-1

Hello everyone,

We have recently migrated our fleet over to Debian 10.3 which runs kernel
4.19.98.
Since then we started noticing sporadic hard IO hangs. Any process
involving IO
would freeze in 'D' state. Processes that don't do IO would continue
functioning
normally.

After reboot there is absolutely nothing left in the logs.
To capture more of this we setup netconsole logging remotely and configured:

kernel.hung_task_panic=1
kernel.hung_task_timeout_secs=20

So far this issue has occurred across different hardware models as well
as EC2 virtual instances.

I attach here an example kernel trace after a recent panic and I hope that
someone might point us to the right direction if this issue has already been
fixes or maybe suggest a patch.

Thank you in advance,
