This bug affects stable but the original message didn't specify the epoch in the Version: pseudo-header so it falsely appears as not affecting stable. I'm unarchiving and tagging this explicitly as found in Buster's 1:2.0.10-1. Additionally I confirm that upstream commit fccdeba mentioned by the original reporter fixes the issue; I believe this is a good candidate for a stable update, please consider preparing one (I can help if you lack time).
