As of now, there still stands a single dependency called [node-http-proxy].
Unfortunately, it looks like it relies on socket.io, which has not been packaged
yet.

I've tested the current packaging of shiny-server in git[1].
I've built and installed the package and started the service
manually via
# service shiny-server start
Unfortunately the service is not running:
# service shiny-server status
● shiny-server.service - ShinyServer
