Package: lshw Version: 02.18.85-0.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Running lshw with the -version parameter should display the version of lshw, instead it displays a blank line. For example: puck@flick:~$ lshw -version puck@flick:~$ Testing this on Stretch with lshw v 02.18-0.1, it works. This also affects Ubuntu Focal (02.18.85-0.3ubuntu2), it works okay on Bionic (02.18-0.1ubuntu6.18.04.1), I haven't checked any non-LTS Ubuntu releases.
