Yes, I noticed this as well. Which of these two options do you prefer:
* a dialog asking for a first list to create (and default to creating it under
e.g. /var/lib/courier-mlm)
* install the systemd service as initially disabled, similar to the sysv init
scripts

The (again) systemd does not permit a good installation of mlm cos
package does not have (yet) defined at postinst step a list.. so
package will fail to install (check the error that said "Missing
LISTS setting") becouse the webmlmrc file
