I tried to reproduce the issue and got a segfault [2]
when trying to vgremove inside a i386 qemu VM
with version lvm2 2.02.168-2.

Looks like I found quite relative bug #858002. But I'm not sure.
I can provide any diagnostics and logs.
But I don't know, which one is helpful.
