Hi, Seems like I was too quick to decide it was graphics mode, after setting /etc/default/grub with:
# Uncomment to disable graphical terminal (grub-pc only) GRUB_TERMINAL=console with a text mode console, after selecting memtest86+ in grub menu the screen is black and nothing appears. Might be something with the machine.
