If on powerpc, instead of simply setting the asm symlink, we create an asm dir
and put a symlink farm from asm-ppc and asm-powerpc into it.

That is definitely an improvement. :-)
Inasmuch as websec automatically creates the .websec directory, it would
also be reasonable to create an empty (or template) url.list.

I found a rather strange bug in a client of acpid: laptop-mode-tools
When on verbose mode, this handler writes its output with /dev/stdout
The very weird consequence is that /var/log/acpid is emptied by this!
