Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you.
There has been a lot of 64-bit related fixes upstream. The implicit
pointer conversions _should_ have been fixed also, but I am not
totally sure.
Do you have time to take a look at 12.3.91-5?

In Xfce settings Desktop Behaviour, Desktop icons is set to
