please consider the patch below for the makefile of LAST. It
allows to set the compiler, preprocessor and linker separately,
which is the way Debian follows when passing 'hardening' flags
(see below).

I have the same problem, upowerd makes my CPU run at close to 100% all
the time, the battery is reported as connected and disconnected
continuously and the only way to make it stop is to either remove the
battery
I just wanted to let you know that I have reinstalled the system.
Unfortunately it didn't prove to be useful. Basically it is the same issue
with the virtio NIC.
At the moment of writing:
