I have uploaded the patched version on the 10 day delayed queue.
gtkmm 3.18 now uses and requires c++11. I've tried to rebuild
workrave, but it was possible only after adding CXXFLAGS=-std=c++11.
After that segmentation faults stopped.

After finding the setting that is the real source of the problem, I
tracked that file down. I took it very long ago from a existing debian
system and tweaked the parameter about gtk-recent-files-enabled and one
