Javier, thanks!   With ifupdown-extra 0.33 there is still a delay upon startup, but it is LESS than the previous one. I think, it is below 4 minutes now.  The ordering cycle error is gone.  Other, new error messages appeared in the boot log. I plan to file a new bug report later.  Cheers!
