Hi, I got the same problem with Xine and Lyx here. Each are crashing

Well fuse-utils do not depend on makedev and should not I think. I use udev
instead.
But why depend on that link?
Why not use
cd /dev ; MAKEDEV fuse 2>/dev/null || true
or this for no output
cd /dev ; MAKEDEV fuse 2>/dev/null >/dev/null || true
Then if there is no MAKEDEV in path it is ok anyway
this bug should've been closed instead of fixed in NMU, thats why I'm closing
it manually.

- From what I can tell, this seems to be a problem with bittorrent
3.4.2-8 and python 2.4. Bittorrent 3.4.2-8.1 is in unstable now and
works with python 2.4. It should be migrating to testing shortly.

Ok, now try disabling those two nonstandard modules. (Keep eaccel
disabled). My next suspect would be memcache since it does store
objects in memory and that segfault is in memory management.

Finally I found out, why your /etc/init.d/buildbot didn't work on my system.
I had purged the Debian package and re-installed buildbot 0.7.4.
Now the buildbot user got /bin/false as shell in /etc/passwd.
