I can confirm same "effect" with my Debian. I'm running unstable on my
laptop, versions of gnome-system-tools and system-tools-backend are same as
those reported by Yannik Palanque.
On my desktop running testing everything is OK. The difference is in

So I have done a "grep -ir netdev /etc/*" and I found that

Hi there,
starting somewhere between 2.6.18 and 2.6.19 making snapshots stopped
working.
The device mapper complains like this:

I see the same problem (on Etch). Basically, /var/run/sudo seems to
contain nothing else but directories, which are skipped by the "-type f"
argument to find.
The easiest way to fix it seemed to be to remove "-type f" so that the
timestamp of everything under /var/run/sudo is changed.

and the proximate cause of *that* was that there was an older
alsa-source unpacked previously in /usr/src/modules/alsa-driver;
apparently modass silently failed to erase the previous version before
unpacking the new one.
So I'd suggest transferring this bug to module-assistant, or just
closing it.
