There are other alternatives around, like rsyslog and syslog-ng.
If I understood your comments to the LSB headers correctly, I as
maintainer of rsyslog, am not allowed to add a

Hi,
it seems that the (obsolete) init script
/etc/init.d/xserver-xorg
is not removed on package upgrades.
A way to correctly handle this conffile upgrade is described here:

So this was incorporated upstream in the patch:

I didn't yet upload a new release to Debian, because we discovered a
bug, that made 3D plotting broken, so we fixed that first and
released today again. I'll wait a day or two, if all is ok,

Description:
Back in April, 2007, I opened this bug because of problems with
"NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out" errors.
I found that changing one of my BIOS settings seemed to make the
problem go away. The setup menu named "Resource Configuration"
offers a setting named "Shared PCI IRQs". I found t

I see. So if I make a package, maybe I should just be making it an

Or alternatively maintain it only in volatile.debian.org. Upgrading to
the latest upstream version in case of a security update is the way things
are happening in the web

Lintian should detect when a package installs a ".gitignore" file. These
files are used by the Git revision control system to specify intentionally
untracked files that it should ignore and are cruft when installed by a
package.

I really had to read listxattr(2) from top to bottom before it became
evident that the _list_ argument to the functions is a pre-allocated
buffer and _size_ is its size. A simple note to this effect in the
second paragraph of the DESCRIPTIO
The new version of the netatalk-avahi patch at
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1474791&group_id=8642&atid=308642
appears to fix this bug by switching around how the assert statement is
done.
as some of you guys have a real usage scenario for lilo
i checked and got zero output:
./lilo --help 2>&1 | grep -- -H
lilo does not print that flag yet in it's usage,
so get that fixed first then i can use it in update-initramfs.
happy hacking
