Bug#726179: Replace libeigen2-dev by libeigen3-dev

Package: openbabel
Version: 2.3.2+dfsg-1
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch
User: gl...@debian.org

Dear Maintainer,

your package has libeigen2-dev in build-depends.
It is better to replace it by libeigen3-dev because, the
development of eigen2 is frozen toward to eigen3.

It is planned to replace libeigen2-dev by libeigen3-dev
in all packages in Debian archive.

Thanks,

Anton

Bug#726142: Info received (Bug#726142: Realtek NIC (r8169 driver) won't work at gigabit speed, must be forced to 100MB)

2013-10-13 Thread Shawn Heisey
I left out the answer to one of your questions. Yes, the
firmware-realtek package is installed. It is version 0.28+squeeze1.
During my temporary 3.2 backports kernel experiment, I also upgraded all
the firmware packages to the matching version from backports.

This may be indirectly significant - in the 2.6.30 kernel version where
everything worked on auto, I did not need a firmware package. I don't
know if this is because a blob wasn't being used, or if that was before
Debian had completely moved such blobs out of main. I was able to
install lenny without putting the firmware on a flash disk.

Starting sometime after 2.6.30, the firmware package is required or the
NIC doesn't work at all.

Bug#726180: keepass2: Symbolic link to database is replaced by copy of database

2013-10-13 Thread Jeroen N. Witmond
Package: keepass2
Version: 2.19+dfsg-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Perform the following steps:

1. Create the keePass database in ~/Documents/.
2. Create a symbolic link from the database above in ~/Desktop/.
3. Start keepass2 using this symbolic link.
4. Make some changes in users, passwords, etc.
5. Save the database and quit keepass2.

Now the database in ~/Documents/ will not have changed.
The symbolic link in ~/Desktop/ will have been replaced by a regulare file,
that is, a database containing the changes made in step 4 above.

Thanks for your suggestions.

However, I've been asked by the DPL to not touch the upstream lxc
template at all in order to keep it the same across all distributions.
Therefore, I'm not changing the lxc-debian upstream template myself, but
I'm sure upstream will gladly merge your changes, hence please send the
patch to lxc-de...@lists.sourceforge.net.

Note that your suggested changes (and much more fixes) are already done
in the lxc-debconfig template found in the package in experimental. An
upload of this (after another round through NEW for the required package
split) will happen soonish.

In general, I recommend you use lxc-debconfig rather than lxc-debian,
but that's up to you.

Bug#726184: libofx4 can't process utf-8 encoded files

2013-10-13 Thread Paul Fertser
Package: libofx4
Version: 1:0.9.4-2.1
Tags: fixed-upstream

This version of libofx is not able to properly input XML OFX files
encoded with utf-8 which seriously complicates importing them in
e.g. GnuCash. Please upgrade to at least 0.9.6 upstream release.

The corresponding upstream bug report is at

The first released version with the fix committed is 0.9.6 (Mar 30
2013) but unfortunately it's not ABI-compatible, so GnuCash dependency
needs to be bumped as well.

Hi

I ran xrandr -q

So ok it works with
M$ cat two-monitors.sh
xrandr --auto --output DVI-D-1 --mode 1280x1024 --left-of VGA-1

I want to play with mplayer a movie and work on the other monitor.
so mplayer -zoom whatever.avi

and then on the left side the problem is to maximize it and to send it
nicely to the right monitor.

I ran on the same x11 config, the x11 icewm and it works.

It works much better.

I let you try the procedure.

Kind regards

Bug#724931: Please include the patch in git

2013-10-13 Thread ian_bruce
I'm not done with this yet. I'm working on a more general patch with new
features, which will be forthcoming shortly. I would ask that nothing
major be done until that is ready.

The current version is certainly ready for testing, although Andreas
already seems to have done so extensively.

On Sat, 12 Oct 2013 20:03:53 +0200
Andreas Cadhalpun andreas.cadhal...@googlemail.com wrote:

The patch created by Ian Bruce and myself adds ISO loopback support
for the Debian installer using a new boot parameter, to be used as
 follows:

 loopmount=[DEVICE:]ISO

loopback is the name of a virtual network device; the proper term in
this context is in fact loopmount, hence the name of the boot
parameter.

Here ISO specifies the path to the ISO, i.e.
 /ISO/debian-7.1.0-amd64-CD-1.iso.

Relative to the root directory of some block device, of course.

DEVICE is for the name or UUID of the device, on which the ISO is
located. Giving this is optional and if it is not given, all devices
 are searched for the ISO.

It specifies the filesystem label or UUID, as found in
/dev/disk/by-label/ or /dev/disk/by-uuid/, or returned by /sbin/blkid.

At least in my version of the patch, if it is not specified, then
partitions and CD/DVD drives are searched, but not other devices.

If the boot parameter is not given (or no ISO could be found),
 everything works essentially as before.

As far as I know, if the loopmount parameter is not specified, then
everything works EXACTLY as before (by design).

For the patch to work, the loop-module is needed in the initrd, so I
suggest to make it a dependency of cdrom-detect. I furthermore highly
recommend to make the ext2/ext3/ext4, ntfs and udf modules
dependencies of cdrom-detect, since these are the most common
filesystems and thus being able to loopmount from them would be good.

It appears that the ext4 module would be sufficient to also mount
ext2/ext3, whereas the reverse would not be true.

https://ext4.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions#What_is_the_difference_between_ext2.2C_ext3.2C_and_ext4.3F

https://ext4.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions#Can_I_mount_existing_Ext3_as_Ext4.3F_And_vice_versa.3F_Similarly_from_Ext2_to_Ext4_and_its_reverse.3F

https://ext4.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Ext4_Howto#Compatibility

There might be some value in including NTFS, so that you could
loop-mount from Windoze partitions.

I don't know what usage UDF gets (besides DVDs) that would justify
including it in the initrd.

 (Fat is somewhat outdated.)

VFAT is by no means outdated, since it is used on almost every USB
flashdrive in existence. You might expect that it would eventually be
replaced for this purpose by F2FS, but that certainly hasn't happened
yet.

Anyway, it's already in the initrd.

The patch makes it possible to boot using USB-HDD from any filesystems
 with drivers in the initrd.

Actually, from any supported block device with a supported filesystem.
It appears that most standard PATA/SATA/SCSI/CDROM/USB drivers are
already included in the initrd, so the only thing that would need to be
added is loop.ko and a few filesystem drivers.

The patch also cleans up the somewhat messy workaround for bug
 #608201.

A proper fix would be for all ISO images to be treated the same,
regardless of whether they were contained in a CD, a disk partition, or
a loop-mounted file. I'm not sure why this shouldn't be possible, but
it's not the issue we're mainly concerned with at the moment.

For ease of use, I propose to add a loopback.cfg similar to the the
attached one to the ISO in the folder /boot/grub/. This would allow to
easily mount the ISO using grub2.

I can supply similar config files for Syslinux, allowing the use of the
original boot menus with a loop-mounted ISO.

I tested loopmounting with the following ISOs. (They were modified
 with the attached Apply_Patches.sh.)

   * debian-7.1.0-amd64-netinst.iso
   * debian-7.1.0-i386-netinst.iso
   * debian-7.1.0-amd64-CD-1.iso
   * debian-7.1.0-amd64-CD-2.iso (+)
   * debian-7.1.0-amd64-CD-3.iso (+)
   * debian-7.1.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso
   * debian-7.1.0-amd64-DVD-2.iso (+)

(+): Not modified, just copied to the folder of the first ISO in the
 set.

As I have suggested previously, you don't actually have to modify the
ISOs for testing; you can just patch an external copy of the initrd and
boot with that. That way, the official MD5 and SHA256 hashes still
verify.

This worked without problems. To make sure all other boot mechanisms
still work, I tested them for the patched debian-7.1.0-amd64-CD-1.iso:

   * Isohybrid: OK
   * USB-HDD: OK

Thanks for testing all that.

 * CD: I can't open the CD drive with the button the on the drive. I
have to change to another TTY and use 'eject'. (This problem exists
also with the original ISO image, see #726137.)

I think I also ran into this at some point.

Since the patch works well and does no harm, I ask you to include it
 in git.

I think this will be a highly

Bug#726186: zvbi FTBFS on alpha due to bug in test suite

2013-10-13 Thread Michael Cree
Source: zvbi
Version: 0.2.35-1
Severity: important
User: debian-al...@lists.debian.org
Usertags: alpha
Justification: Fails to build from source but built in the past

zvbi FTBFS on alpha (also ppc64 by the looks) due to a bug in the test
suite routine test-packet-830. Build log for alpha at:

http://buildd.debian-ports.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=zvbiarch=alphaver=0.2.35-1stamp=1380861750

The problem is the function assert_decode_teletext_8301_cni() in
test/test-packet-830.cc which reads as:

static void

assert_decode_teletext_8301_cni (unsigned int * cni,
 const uint8_t  buffer[42])
{
uint8_t buffer2[42];
unsigned int cni2;

memcpy (buffer2, buffer, sizeof (buffer2));
memset_rand (cni, sizeof (cni));

That should be sizeof(*cni) in the last line. The memset_rand() function
due to an incorrect size specification (8 bytes for a pointer on a 64 bit
arch like alpha) writes past the end of the 4 bytes of an unsigned int,
indeed into buffer2 which happened to be allocated after cni, causing a
later assert comparing buffer and buffer2 to fail.

Cheers
Michael.

 Hi guys,

Neon Corridor has agreed to compose music for HyperRogue, under the
Creative Commons BY-NC-ND 3.0 licence. Is this OK for Debian?

I have also (hopefully) improved some things, taking Adam's comments into
 account.

Regarding the dead orbs: the description for Living Caves explains how
items work, and dead orbs work like other items, so I think there is no
need to mention that dead orbs can be used for digging in the Living Caves.
For the Alchemist Lab, I have changed the description and the dead orb
behavior, so that the same holds in this case too. So I think that the text
about uselessness can remain as is. (As for the games which lie that
something is useless while it is not, the gods in ADOM reward you greatly
if you find a use for an item called potion of uselessness...)

Regarding exploits: mentioned ways to get large scores are hopefully
fixed, probably there are still some ways to get large scores, but Cocytus
now works reasonably well and thus it should be OK, and for challenges or
whatever, a special rule could be added that you cannot stay in one place
 too long.

If you want to look for more exploits, the current prerelease is at
http://roguetemple.com/z/hyperrogue-40b.zip (I am waiting for the
complete soundtrack before publishing this officially on the website)

 The full changelog:

 * music support added
 * Cocytus works now (but is still available only via cheating or by
 getting an insane score)
 * Fixed the Crossroads description (there are no longer Crossroad Rangers
and big holes in the ground)
 * if you collect a lot of items in a single land, this increases the
spawning rate of wandering monsters in all lands, so you are no longer
relatively safe by walking at the edge
 * the cheat mode has been extended (press F2 F4 to start cheating, then
 press shift+letter for various effects)
 * when used on a location containing both an item and a monster, context
help now shows information about the monster
 * pressing F1 or right clicking while looking at the context help now
 displays the general help screen
 * improved the general help screen
 * improved the handling of non-qwerty keyboards (movement is done
according to the QWERTY layout as previously, but other menus take the
 layout into account correctly)
 * Ivies have been greatly improved: they shrink if an active branch sees
no good move (except at the root), they are now active as long as there is
at least one segment in view, and they no longer go to the Alchemist Lab
(as this caused bugs). Also, if you cut an active Ivy just after root or
another branching point, it immediately regrows and spins (previously it
regrew without spinning at the root, and caused bugs at other branching
 points)
 * Worms are now active as long as there is at least one segment in view,
they now destroy walls and thumpers around them when they explode (so if
you find a good place for killing worms, it is hard to use it more than
once), and worms and tentacles can go to other lands now, except Motion and
Alchemist (but worms produce spice on explosion only in the Desert)
 * Alchemist Lab: the description is more detailed now, killing lots of
slimes no longer degenerates the Alchemist's Lab into pure treasure, slime
beasts now destroy items around them when killed, and dead orbs no longer
 cause the slime to spill
 * Living Caves: Foreign monsters and objects affect the Living Caves now,
and cave trolls now destroy items around them when killed
 * Graveyard: killing graveyard monsters slowly increases the initial
monster rate in the graveyard (so grinding for Dead Orbs is harder), and
necromancers can go outside the Graveyard now

Best - Z (I am leaving for a trip in two days, so I might find it
 difficult to answer any queries)

Bug#726190: libavcodec54: Broken encode with codec FFV! pixfmt RGB32

2013-10-13 Thread Dima Kogan
Package: libavcodec54
Version: 6:9.10-1
Severity: normal

With the latest libraries, encoding any video with the FFV1 codec and
RGB32 pixel format produces garbage. No errors are generated, and the
resulting videos can be played; the resulting video is just color
garbage, though. This is a regression; things worked fine in the 0.8.7
series of the packages.

I can take any video and convert it to the problematic format with a
command like

 avconv -y -i input.avi -codec ffv1 -pix_fmt rgb32 -t 5 output_garbage.avi

This succeeds without error here. The output video can not be played at
all with the newest libraries because of this (possibly-related) bug:

 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=726189

I have mplayer installed that's linked against an older libavcodec. This
mplayer can play back the resulting file, and shows garbage. If I do the
encode with older libavcodec libraries, then the playback works fine. I have

 mplayer version 2:1.0~rc4.dfsg1+svn34540-1+b2

which uses

 libavcodec53 version 6:0.8.7-1

I'm fairly certain that any input video can be used to tickle this bug

Bug#726191: chromium: Misleading permission messages when Flash is not installed

2013-10-13 Thread Dominic Hargreaves
Package: chromium
Version: 29.0.1547.57-1~deb7u1
Severity: normal
Forwarded: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=306863

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make sure Flash is not installed
2. Visit a page with Flash embedded

What is the expected result?

The flash applet should not run. Perhaps a warning (which can be
disabled) advising that there are unsupported elements in the page could be
displayed.

What happens instead?

A message: 'Shockwave Flash needs your permission to run' is displayed. Since
Shockwave Flash is not installed, this is misleading. If the user grants
permission, there is no warning that the Flash applet is not running.

The same message appears within the placeholders in the elements in question.

Rebooting solves the issue, but after a while, ripping another disk will
exhibit the same issue.

There are quite a few reports about disks resets, but were more in the HD class
(for instance in RAID setups), than CD/DVD players/burners.

Maybe same problem or another. Difficult to tell.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

The patch is a shotgun solution, putting NULL pointer checks where the

Sure thing; you can find it attached. Of course it shows when the
segfault is triggered, not when the data became NULL. And that should
be fixed, because even though the server doesn't crash with the patch,
 it also doesn't play video.

Ok, I can see the allocation failure that leads to the crash:

For a large screen, we have to create a temporary surface for rendering
the textured video. If this pixmap creation fails we may be left with a
system memory only pixmap leading to a segfault.

However, that still leaveas the question as to how you ended up being

You can watch /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_gem_objects (or just use

Dear Maintainer,

in the file rogue/move.c, the number of moves left (before having to eat

Hi Manfred,

please CC 715...@bugs.debian.org, so that the bug-related information
gets collected in one place.

the problem *was* really a problem.
I can't see how the system could freeze after showing the first menu,
since not much happens before the user selects a language. The only
thing I could imagine is that your keyboard did not get recognized
correctly, which would have pretty much the same effect as a system freeze.

Do you remember, whether the mouse worked in the graphical installer?
I assume, the keyboard works with an installed Debian?
Could you provide model and vendor of your keyboard?

Next year I can test installing again.

Bug#726196: dovecot-core: syslog spamming in case /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf is missing

2013-10-13 Thread Cyril Brulebois
Package: dovecot-core
Version: 1:2.1.7-7
Severity: normal

Hi,

installing a machine from backups, I initially tend to move pristine
conf files/dirs away, and replace them with those from backups. I missed
restoring /etc/dovecot/, so dovecot told me through syslog the following
config file was missing: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf; that amount of
times:
| 98M /var/log/syslog
| 249M /var/log/syslog.1

I think it would have been OK to just die the first time, instead of
repeatedly trying to reopen it (rate-limit kicked in on the syslog side).

Mraw,
KiBi.

Thanks,

Bug#725851: [ITR] templates://fpc/{fp-compiler.templates.in}

2013-10-13 Thread Christian PERRIER
Dear Debian maintainer,

The Debian internationalisation team and the Debian English
localisation team will soon begin the review of the debconf
templates used in fpc.

This review takes place for all packages that use debconf to interact with
users and its aims are:
- to improve the use of English in all debconf templates;
- to make the wording of debconf templates more consistent;
- to encourage more translations of templates.

Even if your first language is English, this process is likely to help
track down typos or errors, and improve consistency between the
debconf templates of your package and that of other packages in the
distribution.

The process involves both debian-l10n-english contributors and
Debian translators.

The details of the process are given in
http://wiki.debian.org/I18n/SmithDebconfReviewProcess.

I will act as the coordinator of this activity for fpc.

The first step of the process is to review the debconf source
template file(s) of fpc. This review will start on Wednesday, October 16, 2013,
or
as soon as you acknowledge this mail with an agreement for us to
carry out this process.

All parts of the process will be carried out in close collaboration
with you, and, unless you explicitely ask for it, no upload nor NMU
will happen for fpc.

If you approve this process, please let us know by replying to this
mail. If some work in progress on your side would conflict with such a
rewrite (such as adding or removing debconf templates), please say so,
and we will defer the review to later in the development cycle.

Thank you for your attention.

Bug#726160: [Pkg-systemd-maintainers] Bug#726160: journalctl: users in 'adm' group should be able to read logs

2013-10-13 Thread Michael Stapelberg
control: forcemerge 717386 -1

Hi gustavo,

gustavo panizzo g...@zumbi.com.ar writes:

 Package: systemd
 Version: 204-5
 Severity: normal

when journalctl is invoked as regular user the following message is
 displayed:

Unprivileged users cannot access messages, unless persistent log storage
 is
enabled. Users in the 'systemd-journal' group may always access
 messages.

if persistent storage is configured, the following message is displayed:

Hint: You are currently not seeing messages from other users and the system.
Users in the 'systemd-journal' group can see all messages. Pass -q to
   turn off this notice.
No journal files were opened due to insufficient permissions.

the traditional user group with read access to logs in Debian is 'adm'.

 /usr/share/doc/base-passwd/users-and-groups.txt.gz has the following sentence

Group adm is used for system monitoring tasks. Members of this group can
read many log files in /var/log, and can use xconsole.

i don't care what group should be able to read journal and/or traditional
syslog daemon files, but should be the same group for both implementations.
Thanks for your report. I am merging this with the existing bug about
the same issue.

It appears that the ext4 module would be sufficient to also mount

Hi,

the way I read the licence is that the author thinks it would be nice to get a

Bug#726226: initramfs-tools: update-initramfs won't compress initram-images

2013-10-13 Thread j. outhuis
Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.114
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
1. I was building new kernel-/initram-images when trying to solve
scrambled/unreadable early boot messages. I tried all available compression
rates in initramfs.conf.
2. I eventually discovered that there was a flaw in the mkinitramfs-script. (I
compared the script with the mkinitramfs-script on my older i386-pc).
In section 353-363 of the script there is a ' gzip ' instruction and a
'compress ' instruction.
I changed that to 'gzip ' and 'compress ' , similar to the i386-script, and
after that update-initramfs did its job again as expected.

Greetings
J. Outhuis

Bug#724931: Please include the patch in git

2013-10-13 Thread Andreas Cadhalpun

Hi,

On 13.10.2013 10:21, ian_br...@fastmail.net wrote:

I'm not done with this yet. I'm working on a more general patch with new
features, which will be forthcoming shortly. I would ask that nothing
major be done until that is ready.

I'm curious, what features do you want to add?

loopback is the name of a virtual network device; the proper term in
this context is in fact loopmount, hence the name of the boot
parameter.
Yes, loopback is the lo network interface, but for some reason I don't
understand, GRUB uses the term loopback for booting from an ISO:

https://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/grub.html#Loopback-booting
This is why I constantly get confused between loopback and (the more
descriptive) loopmount.

If the boot parameter is not given (or no ISO could be found),
everything works essentially as before.

As far as I know, if the loopmount parameter is not specified, then
everything works EXACTLY as before (by design).
In my latest patch, some changes are effective, even if loopmount is not
used, e.g.:
 * I cleared up the workaround for bug #608201, so that in the future
it should not be necessary to change apt-cdrom-setup, if one adds a new
booting method.
 * Since I included more filesystem drivers in the initrd, I changed
the code so that USB-HDD also works from filesystems other than FAT.
 * I also exported the boot options from cdrom-detect and imported them
in several places, instead of determining the again. This should not
have any effect, if loopmount is not used, but if it is, the 'loop'
option is used. If in the future some changes are made with the boot
options in cdrom-detect, they will be respected by apt-cdrom-setup.

It appears that the ext4 module would be sufficient to also mount
ext2/ext3, whereas the reverse would not be true.
I just tested loopmounting from an ext2 filesystem, while only the ext4
filesystem driver was in the initrd: It worked, blkid identified it as
ext4 and mounting as such only gave an info message:
kernel: [ 13.170123] EXT4-fs (sdb1): mounted filesystem without
journal. Opts: (null)
And according to Ben there will be no ext2/ext3 modules in the kernel
starting with 3.11. So just add the ext4 module.

I don't know what usage UDF gets (besides DVDs) that would justify
including it in the initrd.

I have to admit, that I didn't know more than that a month ago.

(Fat is somewhat outdated.)

VFAT is by no means outdated, since it is used on almost every USB
flashdrive in existence. You might expect that it would eventually be
replaced for this purpose by F2FS, but that certainly hasn't happened
yet.
FAT32 is no modern filesystem, since it doesn't support files larger
than 4 GB, e.g. the debian-7.1.0-amd64-DVD-2.iso with 4.7 GB. The reason
for it to be still widespread is, that it is supported by (nearly?) all
operating systems.
While F2FS might be modern and optimized for flash drives, it is only
supported in Linux and thus cannot replace FAT32.
UDF on the other hand is used for DVDs and most operating systems can
read (and even write to) it. Furthermore it supports large files and
thus is the most probable replacement for FAT32. For further explanation
see:

http://duncanlock.net/blog/2013/05/13/using-udf-as-an-improved-filesystem-for-usb-flash-drives/
Already, some USB sticks sold are formatted with UDF.
So I recommend to add UDF support now, although it will probably not be
relevant for the broad audience until several years have passed by.

In fact, with my patch, they are treated practically the same, with the
one exception of CD set support, which is only available for actual
disks in a drive and loopmounted ISOs.
It is probably possible to extend this support to isohybrid and USB-HDD,
but it is assumed, that one does not want to use multiple USB sticks to
install Debian.

That would be great.

As I have suggested previously, you don't actually have to modify the
ISOs for testing; you can just patch an external copy of the initrd and
boot with that. That way, the official MD5 and SHA256 hashes still
verify.
The problem is, that I also have to modify the apt-cdrom-setup.udeb,
that is not in the initrd, but gets loaded afterwards from
/pool/main/a/apt-setup.

have to change to another TTY and use 'eject'. (This

Dear mentors,

I have not been actively looking for a sponsor for my package gramps
the last few weeks because I have found a few other Debian things to
keep me busy :-)

But this weekend I have gone back to the package I had on Mentors.net
and updated it a little. It now includes a patch to force a UTF-8
locale for people that try to run Gramps without a UTF-8 default
locale and get a very nasty crash. I also upgraded the copyright file
to a machine readable version.

Before I start looking for a sponsor again, I wonder if anyone on the
mentors list would like to give me a quick review of the package?

Bug#726227: /etc/tmpreaper.conf: line 48: [: : integer expression expected

2013-10-13 Thread Micah Anderson
Package: tmpreaper
Version: 1.6.13+nmu1
Severity: normal

It seems as if tmpreaper's /etc/tmpreaper.conf has the following:

if grep '^TMPTIME=' /etc/default/rcS /dev/null 21; then
eval $(grep '^TMPTIME=' /etc/default/rcS)
fi
if [ -n $TMPTIME -a $TMPTIME -gt 0 ]; then
TMPREAPER_TIME=${TMPTIME}d
else
TMPREAPER_TIME=7d
fi

The problem is that /etc/default/rcS has:

#TMPTIME=0

on every machine I've upgraded from squeeze to wheezy.

That means that the grep will not find ^TMPTIME, and then the if line
will test an empty variable against 0, resulting in the 'integer
expression expected'.

I believe that the right thing to do here would be to initialize
TMPREAPER_TIME to be 0 if it is unset, or test to see if the variable
is unset before comparing it to an integer.

According to the discussion log it's a matter of providing a desktop

already done in the FreeDesktop menu file - is there something I

The same bug is present in Ubuntu:

2013-10-13 Thread Sam Morris

upstream's Git repository. Please let me know if they work for you.

Regards,
