'Upstream' here. Apologies that you got hit by a spam filter (I'm
afraid we were getting hit quite aggressively by first time link
spammers which is probably the cause of your filtering). Thank you
very much for trying to get in touch with us.

I've been cc'd on the Moodle debian bugs for quite some time and i'm
afraid that this is a bit of a cycle with the package. Quite some time
ago I was part of a team to keep up with keeping the package in order,
but eventually could not keep on top of it - then others like Tomasz
Muras and Thijs Kinkhorst have valiantly tried to get it in order. See
#494642 #647489 #747084 etc.

So much as it saddens me - I think this is the right course of action.
There is little evidence to suggest that the package is widely used
which makes it even less motivating for contributors for the
significant amount of work it takes to keep up with our wide ranging
upstream security fixes.

cheers,

Dan Poltawski

Bug#775976: openjdk-7-jdk depends on non headless JRE

2015-01-21 Thread Michael D
Package: openjdk-7-jdk
Version: 7u71-2.5.3-2

Brought to my attention in bug #775971, the openjdk-7-jdk package requires
the non headless JRE. This in turn recommends / requires many graphical and
desktop oriented libraries which would not otherwise be desirable in a
server environment.

As such I suggest that the -jdk variants of these packages depend on the
headless versions of their respective runtimes, unless the user explicitly
installs the full version.

Thanks

I was just trying to figure out why some of my servers have it, and it
turns out openjdk-7-jdk depends on the non-headless JRE, which in turn
recommends some packages that depend on dbus.
I might open a bug for that shortly.

Thanks

Bug#566943: Repro attempt

2015-01-21 Thread era eriksson
I tried to send email to 566943-h...@bugs.debian.org as suggested in the
feedback from the (then?) list maintainer, and got nothing back.

I sent another bug report in the meantime and that registered properly,
and I got the expected reply, so my mail does seem to be going through,
both ways.

Hi!

The package description ends with "Documentation for all three modules is

Probably just a copy/paste from the package webpage gone one sentence
too far. :)

Bug#775974: lists.debian.org: Disable AHBL in SpamAssassin

2015-01-21 Thread era eriksson
Package: lists.debian.org
X-Debbugs-Cc: era+deb...@iki.fi

Apparently, all messages now get the AHBL hit, which increases the
likelyhood of spam false positives. Spot checks reveal this problem at
least on debian-user-spanish, debian-russian, and debian-l10n-french,
but apparently, all lists are affected.

For example, a recent message to debian.user-spanish [1] has the
following SpamAssassin headers:

X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.2 (2011-06-06) on
bendel.debian.org
X-Spam-Level:
X-Spam-Status: No, score=-9.4 required=4.0 tests=DNS_FROM_AHBL_RHSBL,
LDOSUBSCRIBER,LDO_WHITELIST,RDNS_NONE autolearn=unavailable
version=3.3.2

While the total score is fine, the AHBL hit is spurious, and the rule
should be disabled. The service was decommissioned on Jan 1, 2015, and
is now returning a blocked status for all queries; here is the DNSBL
maintainer's announcement:

http://www.ahbl.org/content/changes-ahbl

Tangentially, see also http://article.gmane.org/gmane.discuss/16570

[1] https://lists.debian.org/debian-user-spanish/2015/01/msg00195.html
but this view does not include full headers. You could also access it
over NNTP from Gmane.org for full headers -- I think a useful URL could
be news://news.gmane.org/gmane.linux.debian.user.spanish:197903 but I
don't have a tool I can check this with (maybe change news: to nntp:
IIRC?)

To be fair to anyone else that is interested in saving moodle, I'll

This is still under debate, as we don't necessarily want to bring
D-BUS into every minimal install. Quite obviously we have to install
the "systemd" package for booting, but IMHO it would be better to make
that fail quietly instead of adding a D-BUS dep.

Bug#775972: src:libgnomeui: FTFBS on x32: -Werror printf warnings

2015-01-21 Thread Adam Borowski
Package: src:libgnomeui
Version: 2.24.5-3
Severity: normal
Tags: patch
Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past)

Hi!
I'm afraid that libgnomeui has regressed due to use of -Werror. It fails
to build on any architecture where time_t has a different size than long.
That's not the case on any of current Debian release arch, but, per Linus'
decree, applies to any new 32-bit arch (because Y2k38).

Sadly, this regression hasn't been noticed for a year, as -ports archs are
allowed to go out of sync from release ones, and any reverse-dependencies
built happily using 2.24.5-2 which used different build flags.

A readable patch attached. This one will fail in 23 years, but this code
needs to be rewritten for any arch other than x32 anyway. A proper patch
would use hairy casts as there's no standard printf format string for
time_t.

Upstream code uses printf("%ld") with a time_t argument. This causes a
warning if time_t is a different type than long, which causes a FTBFS
 under -Werror.

Wow, that's a nasty problem. Looks like bumblebee is tickling some sort
of serious hardware bug in the NVIDIA card and its interaction with the
system PCI bus in a way that's causing random memory corruption (at least)
and possibly messing with other things, like bus traffic to the drives.

I'm not sure the software is really at fault there, since that sort of
corruption should not be possible at the hardware level, but that also
means that the problem is likely to persist for quite a while since
hardware can't be as easily patched.

This is probably going to require the bumblebee upstream figure out what
it's doing that's tickling this hardware bug and hopefully work around it.

Bug#775969: cabal-install: wrong libc6 dependency version

2015-01-21 Thread Patrick Boe
Package: cabal-install
Version: 0.14.0.2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
   I installed haskell-platform, which depends on cabal-install

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
   I ran `cabal install xmonad-contrib`

   * What was the outcome of this action?
   cabal: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.
6: version `GLIBC_2.14' not
   found (required by cabal)

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
I thought the command would run without errors. The cabal-install
package depends on libc6 >= 2.13, so I would not expect it to demand
2.14 if I have 2.13 installed. This may not be under the control of
the package maintainers; if that is so, I would expect the package to
be listed with a dependency of >= 2.14 instead of 2.13.

2.13 is the libc6 currently distributed with wheezy, and there is no
later version available in backports. I can install from jessie as
   mentioned [here](http://tobold.org/entry/2014-12-07) but I have
learned with much effort that this will introduce other
irreconcilable conflicts to my system. In my case, I believe the
only way I can run haskell is to dist-upgrade to jessie. Hopefully,
an honest dependency listing on this package will save others the
   floundering I went through.

Bug#775967: RFP: selector

2015-01-21 Thread westlake

Package: wnpp
Version: N/A
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: selector
Version: 1.1.7
Upstream Author: F.Fleuret
* URL : http://www.idiap.ch/~fleuret/software.html#selector
* License : (GPL 3)
Description: selector is a real-time pattern matcher for console

"The selector command is a real-time interactive pattern matcher in
console. It can be used to visit efficiently files in general, and shell
history in particular. For the latter, contrary to what the readline C-r
does, it does not show only one entry at a time, but restricts in real
time the display to all the entries matching the pattern. You can at any
time select one, which will be injected in the input buffer of the
current tty.

"

It is a bit difficult to explain what this does without indicating an
example or two. pretty much it is a program that offers to auto-type
text to the command prompt but from the convenience of a menu list. The
menu list in question is something that selector presents upon execution
after given a text file to it (or a redirected stream if no textfile).

The real-time pattern matching of the program is presented to the user
when selector has started. Using up and down arrow keys selects
different list items but while using a-z keys(or typing strings) the
menu list dynamically updates itself on the matched alhanumeric string.
Once an item is chosen, the "enter" key is used to quickly close
selector and the selected text is auto-typed into the command-prompt.
Finally on the the command-prompt, the selected text which has been
auto-typed is not sent with an ending "enter", so in case there needs to
be a minor edit of the command it can still be done before finally
committing it.

it would be good if this program is available for debian..

thanks

The patch was easy to apply to ICU 52, which is in Jessie. It didn't
apply perfectly, but it was very easy to see how to apply it manually. I
noticed that the RedHat bug is closed with WONTFIX but it also looks
like they have a RHSA that addresses it. As for whether my application
of the patch is correct, all I have to go on is whether ICU's test suite
passes, which it does. I'll upload 52.1-7 to unstable with urgency=high
(though I believe urgency is ignored right now) and will request a
freeze exception justified by this fixing a security bug. Please advise
as to whether this should be fixed in stable. I'm not sure how urgent it
is given that a formal CVE has not yet been issued (right?) and that
this is classified as low risk.

Bug#775966: xpdf: The xpdf -aa no foobar.pdf (as explained by the man page) reports "no" file not found

2015-01-21 Thread Harka Gyozo
Package: xpdf

Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,
I can't disable anti-aliasing, the man page states, the option is "-aa yes|no",
the --help said "-aa string" where string is no or yes, but as I am executing:

$ xpdf -aa no E.pdf
error: "no" file not found

xpdf -aa E.pdf
Bad '-aa' value on command line

xpdf -aa:no E.pdf
Error: Couldn't open file '-aa:no': No such file or directory.

xpdf -aa=no E.pdf
Error: Couldn't open file '-aa=no': No such file or directory.

So I think it's a bug.

Dear Maintainer,

the package still uses outdated source format 1.0 with one big diff file,

That's why I pulled changes into separate patch and changed the format of the

The highlighting is done as part of setting up the button row (ok,
cancel, etc), so there's (currently) no way to turn it off. I think the
way to accomplish this change is to add a flag to the widget state to
suppress highlighting for the button row, and to set that in the widgets
where abbreviation is done differently.

Inevitably, someone will then complain that the buttons aren't the same
appearance as before - but adding a command-line option to control this
seems a worse solution.

That's a nice set of improvements. My only new issues are:

1. For some reason kimchid didn't start on boot, systemd decided not to
load it. This may well be a problem on my machine, not a generic one,
but perhaps worth testing.

2. The dependency on qemu-system is fairly broad, unless kimchi actually
supports foreign architecture VMs then depending on the local version
per-arch would be nice.

With 1.4 websockify is now an external dependency so it's now a bug in
it (although fixed upstream, but there's not been a release, I've filed
debian bug #??? for this).

Per debian convention kimchi should get its own service, even if not
generically. My plan is to allow the use of external auth which solves
my case.

Hi!
I'm afraid the NMU that introduced the 2: epoch has dropped the patch fixing
this bug -- the current version erroneously thinks that JIT is supported on
x32 (and apparently powerpcspe and sparc64).

Also, the version that regressed is the one Andreas Beckmann specifically
marked as "fixed" -- did you mean to mark it as "found"?

Bug#775962: udftools: No means of repairing a UDF filesystem i.e. no fsck.udf

2015-01-21 Thread Guy Heatley
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Package: udftools
Version: 1.0.0b3-14.3
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Given that most current popular OSs now support reading from / writing
to UDF formatted storage, UDF makes a useful OS agnostic, standardised
filesystem for use in heterogenous environments.

Also, because UDF supports ignoring of hardcoded UID/GID permissions,
UDF would still be a suitable choice for removable media used across
different installations of e.g. Debian.

A drawback to using UDF on larger sized volumes is the current lack of
a fsck.udf type utility for checking and repairing UDF filesystems
should they develop any errors.

Bug#760916: brltty interferes with getty autostart

2015-01-21 Thread Dave Mielke
[quoted lines by Samuel Thibault on 2015/01/22 at 00:46 +0100]

>Reading is fine, since it's done through /dev/vcsa, which doesn't count
>in VT_GETSTATE.

Not exactly. The tty device still needs to be opened in order to do things like
fetch the Unicode map.

It's possible, of course, that things like the Unicode map, the screen font
map, the character translation table, etc are common to all vts, in which case
they could be fetched from tty1. I'm not familiar enough with the internals to
know for sure.

I noticed a comment in the source for systemd-logind stating that tty1 is
special, so using it would seem to be okay. We still need to be sure that all
of what we need for mapping the font positions returned by the vcs devices back

Reading is fine, since it's done through /dev/vcsa, which doesn't count
in VT_GETSTATE.

Exactly the same problem and the same fix for me. FWIW, I am using a
new laptop (amd64 arch, rtl8723ae wifi hardware) running a fresh
Debian unstable system (installed two days ago) with avahi 0.6.31-4+b2
and network-manager 0.9.10-5.

The problem is quite easy to diagnose and fix for people having the
knowledge to check out /var/log/daemon.log and comment eth0 out of
/etc/network/interfaces. However, if non-technical users are affected
by this problem, they are likely to get completely lost when their
wifi connection works for a few seconds after startup, then
mysteriously stops working for (apparently) no reason.

Bug#760916: brltty interferes with getty autostart

2015-01-21 Thread Dave Mielke
There's another case where brltty needs to "see" a vt when it isn't open. For
example, a command can be run asynchronously in a free vt via the openvt
command. After the command finishes, the output remains on the vt's screen even
though the vt itself has been closed. The user needs to still be able to switch
to that vt and read it.

this message does not help me very much to find about what the problem might

If you want to support both, the attached patch looks fine to me. Note,
I have neither tested it, nor do I know how and where the source files
end up in the binary package. The logic looks OK to me, that's all.

Hope this helps,

Bug#592539: Improved patch

2015-01-21 Thread C.J. Adams-Collier
Hello Steven, ALCON,

I've applied your patch to the 4.2.4 .deb source from Ubuntu Trusty and
removed the apparmor and apport references:

http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/i/isc-dhcp/isc-dhcp_4.2.4-7ubuntu12.dsc

I doubt that you used this source for the base of your patch, but it
applied with only one rejection, so it was close enough for me. There
were compile-time problems on my Wheezy build machine relating to
apport / apparmor, but these were easy enough to deal with using

$ grep -rsil -e apport -e apparmor isc-dhcp-4.2.4 | grep -v changelog

Still, it would be nice to have the source you built from so that I
could skip this stage. It would be nicer still if the patch applied to
4.2.2 (Wheezy) or 4.3.1 (Jessie).

Once installed, I verified that stopping and starting the daemon did not
cause an outage with the v4 server. It did not; I was able to request
v4 leases on all interfaces as expected. I then modified
the /etc/default/isc-dhcp-server config file to set the following
variables:

V6_ENABLED="true"
INTERFACES_V6="vl78 eth4.100 eth4.101 eth3"

A re-start of the daemon succeeded for v4, but failed for v6 due to a
missing dhcpd6.leases file:

Jan 21 09:17:35 sip1 dhcpd: Can't open lease database
/var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd6.leases: No such file or directory --
Jan 21 09:17:35 sip1 dhcpd: check for failed database rewrite attempt!

you
Jan 21 09:17:35 sip1 dhcpd: don't know what to do about this.

It might be nice if the daemon grepped the log for this message and gave
a more specific error message. I created the leases file with:

$ sudo touch /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd6.leases

Re-starting succeeded for v4 and failed again for v6 because I had not
written any subnet6 declarations and the daemon had no interfaces on
which to listen. It might be nice if the daemon grepped the log for
this message and gave a more specific error message:

Jan 21 09:39:53 sip1 dhcpd: No subnet6 declaration for eth3

Hey,

the issue that kmail do not show new mails I also see at my system, but this
is not relateed to midnight. My system also runs for days and is only triggerd
after some days. I didn't saw the issue for the newest akonadi comination and
it only occures for one account.

But I never saw it that mails do not go out and are not send.

One thing that actually is related is switching i-net on/off in shot time
frame (5min) f.ex. vpn on/off with vpn inside no connection to mailserver.

Yepp it is a akonadi issue, 'cause akonadi is doing the whole interaction with
the outside world.

Like I said, I will wait for freeze to end before uploading the

Bug#775958: claws-mail-pgpmime: OpenPGP key generation prompts the user for passphrase unnecessarily

2015-01-21 Thread Daniel Kahn Gillmor
Package: claws-mail-pgpmime
Version: 3.11.1-3
Severity: normal

I've got gpg 2.1 installed, from debian experimental. I haven't
tested the below with other versions of gpg.

from the "Preferences for current account" dialog, I chose "Plugins" >
GPG, and then clicked on "Generate a new key pair".

Claws prompted me (twice) for a new passphrase, and then invoked gpg,
which started to generate a key. however, gpg itself went ahead and
prompted me via pinentry for a passphrase during key generation.

because i'm using the gpg-agent, claws doesn't have to touch my
passphrase at all. This is a good thing! but claws prompted me for
my passphrase anyway. This would be pretty confusing to a new user,
being asked to enter their passphrase 4 times during key generation.

Bug#747863: nut: diff for NMU version 2.7.2-1.1

Thanks for your NMU, just saw now that it was uploaded.

I unfortunately didn't saw your patch earlier, because I don't think
it's complete :/

When upgrading from the previous version that is currently in unstable,
the files/symlinks in /etc/systemd and /var/lib/systemd are not
automatically removed. You explicitly need to add the following calls
somewhere in the maintainer script to properly remove all the leftovers.

deb-systemd-helper purge foo.service >/dev/null
deb-systemd-helper unmask foo.service >/dev/null

Do you think you could take care of doing a new upload? I don't have a
lot of time ATM unfortunately?

Thanks again,

Laurent Bigonville

Bug#775956: bumblebee: filesystem corruption after bumblebee install

2015-01-21 Thread Tuxicoman
Source: bumblebee
Version: 3.2.1-7
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I have Thinkpad T440 with Nvidia GT 730M.
When I install bumblebee from synaptic, the installation stops at some point.

The reason is the system is corrupted IMHO. Read/write errors appear. No
software can be started properly. TTY not responding except asking for login.

I did it once and the package install fucked up my system. I tried with fsck to
recover my system, but even after repairing the ext4 partition, the system
failed to boot (I had folder with corrupted names in /)

I formated the partition and reinstalled a new Jessie today. Everything is
fine. I tried to install bumblebee again. Same thing, OS becomes crazy and the
read/write errors appear.

I use a double boot on this laptop and have no issue with the other OS. I used
Jessie on this laptop for one year without any trouble.

This is a critical bug as user will potentially loose their data and in all
cases make the OS unusable afterwards (no repair possible except reinstalling
Jessie)

Best regards,

I've started an instrumented run, it's found 25 unique crashes and 6 unique

Bug#775955: lame: built without -g

2015-01-21 Thread Jakub Wilk

Source: lame
Version: 3.99.5+repack1-5

I rebuilt the package with DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nostrip, but there was
still no debugging information in the resulting binary package.
Apparently that's because binaries are built without the -g option.

I'd like to request an unblock for the zookeeper package. The not yet uploaded

Bug#775953: openntpd if-up.d hook can cause system boot to hang indefinitely

2015-01-21 Thread Sascha Silbe
Package: openntpd
Version: 20080406p-4
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

Dear Maintainer,

when
a) openntpd is configured to listen on some interface and
b) openntpd is configured to step the time on start-up and
c) the DNS servers are not reachable for any reason,

the openntpd if-up.d hook will delay system boot indefinitely. Even in
single-user mode neither sshd nor a login shell are started before this
happens.

Actually this is not related to the default value (because the
-xrm "*VT100.backarrowKey: ..." overrides the default value).
What apparently happens is that the backarrowKey initial value
is set from the stty erase character if backarrowKeyIsErase is
true. This is just the initial value; the backarrowKey value
can later be changed via the menu[*], for instance.

[*] Backarrow Key (BS/DEL)

Said otherwise, it seems that the initial value is:

1. obtained from the stty erase character if backarrowKeyIsErase
   is true;

2. otherwise obtained by an explicit setting of backarrowKey;

3. otherwise set to "True" (the default value).

Bug#354432: www.debian.org: [debian-i18n] Incorrect Quote in paragraphs with different language

After having some talks on the IRC channel yesterday and also after
checking most of the and blocks under all the pages in
german dir I think that an accurate fix could be adding the following
to german/debian-de.css file:

html[lang=de] q[lang=en]:before { content: "\201C"; }
html[lang=de] q[lang=en]:after { content: "\201D"; }

That and also add the lang="en" attribute when missing on blocks.
That change on the CSS file will affect the quotation marks on other
pages too of course (not only the one stated on this report), but AFAICT
that seems to be what's expected.

In example, that will also change the quotation marks around "Exploring
Cryptographic Software in Debian's Main Archive" text in
https://www.debian.org/legal/cryptoinmain.de.html page, what again AFAIU
is the expected behaviour.

I grep'ed the whole german directory and checked all the blocks
that had already lang="en" set and they were correct (their content was
english text). There are still anyway blocks with english text
without the lang attribute set, but I'm not sure really if they should
be changed.

I'm attaching a patch (de-css.patch) file which adds the CSS lines and
another patch file (q-lang.patch) which fixes the blocks that were
badly quoted reported here and a couple more I found.

I hope that helps.

Let me know please if you have any question or anything else.

Thanks,

Bug#775952: xterm: VT100.backarrowKey default value vs man page documentation

2015-01-21 Thread Vincent Lefevre
Package: xterm
Version: 312-1
Severity: normal

Whether I run

  xterm -xrm "*VT100.backarrowKey: true"

or

  xterm -xrm "*VT100.backarrowKey: false"

the backarrow key gives the delete (127) character, while the xterm
man page says:

backarrowKey (class BackarrowKey)
Specifies whether the backarrow key transmits a backspace (8)
or delete (127) character. This corresponds to the DECBKM
control sequence. A “true” value specifies backspace. The
default is “True”. Pressing the control key toggles this
behavior.

This is actually the observed behavior only when backarrowKeyIsErase
is set to false:

xterm -xrm "*backarrowKeyIsErase: false" -xrm ...

I think that when backarrowKeyIsErase is set to true (the default),
this is the expected behavior, as described under backarrowKeyIsErase,
and that the man page description of backarrowKey is incorrect.

So, I suppose that the default value of backarrowKey is "true" if
backarrowKeyIsErase is false; otherwise it depends...

But the relation between backarrowKeyIsErase, ptyInitialErase,
ttyModes and backarrowKey is still unclear.

Bug#775881: mysql-5.5: Multiple security fixes from January 2015 CPU

2015-01-21 Thread Salvatore Bonaccorso
Hi Debian MySQL maintainers,

Preliminary packages built for the wheezy-security update are now in

https://people.debian.org/~carnil/tmp/mysql-5.5/

If you additionally can test these too, that would be great.

Bug#775678: libextutils-depends-perl: undeterministic output in saved config

we noticed an additional issue with ExtUtils::Depends. When building package
xacobeo the linking order was random due to an unsorted iteration over the keys
of a perl hash.

The attached patch includes Reiner's initial patch and the fix to this
additional problem.

We also submitted the issue to upstream as part of the same bug Reiner opened.

We maintain a git repository including this patch as part of the experimental
reproducible build effort. So alternatively you can also clone from:

https://anonscm.debian.org/git/reproducible/libextutils-depends-perl.git

or look at it in the web interface at:

This bug was fixed 2 months ago in bug-fix release 0.19.4 (current is

Hi Chris,

openvswitch has been uploaded (I sponsored the upload), and it's now in
stable-proposed-update. It will stay there, until the next point
release. It's a shame btw that packages.debian.org doesn't show what's
in proposed-updates, but I can tell you that
1.4.2+git20120612-9.1~deb7u1.1 is in (I received the ACK email).

So if you want to have it *now*, just add the wheezy-proposed-update
repository to your sources.list (IMO, not enough people use it...).

Cheers,

Thomas Goirand (zigo)

Bug#775950: Additional note

2015-01-21 Thread snoozer works
Forgot to mention that according to another user (on the debian forum) the

Nonetheless I believe this kind of bug - assuming it can be confirmed -
should be fixed for the stable version of Shotwell.

Cheers

2015-01-21 Thread Tomasz Muras
Package: moodle
Followup-For: Bug #754565

It's not a big problem to remove whole tcpdf library from Moodle src - it
is not used by Moodle itself. However, there are other issues with the
package - including security fixes and I'm afraid there is too much work &
too little interest in maintaining it, so RM may really be the best way to
go.

Bug#775951: mpd crashes when updating database

2015-01-21 Thread dAgeCKo

Package: mpd
Version: 0.19.1-1.1
Severity: important
Debian: jessie amd64

mpd crashes when we update the database, certainly due to a file that
contains non utf8 characters.
The only information I could get is below (I put log level to verbose
but I have no more information than with normal log level).

Here is the output of the log:

Jan 21 21:49 : update: adding archive file: Dolly - PLEIN AIR - 192kbps
- MP3 et pochettes - by TetesRaides/07 - Dolly - Plein Air - Un homme
<82>ternel.mp3

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::logic_error'
  what():  basic_string::_S_construct null not valid

I guess the '<82>' character is the reason why mpd crashes.

Regards.

Bug#774973: Replaces/Breaks should be added

2015-01-21 Thread Cédric Boutillier
Hi,

Since this package has been split from ruby-fog when 0.25 was released,
then it has to Break/Replace ruby-fog << 0.25~.
Please upload a new version with these metadata. Even if ruby-fog 0.25
goes in experimental, you should prevent the user to have this package
with the current version of ruby-fog in unstable. This will also ease
the upgrade to Jessie+1 (I know it is not for tommorrow, but still), as
it will tell the package manager how to deal with this conflict of
files.

Cheers,

Cédric

how odd, this works for me, actually. Perhaps there is some sort of
difference in settings or something different about our GnuPG keychains
or configurations?

Can you send (either to the bug here publicly if you're OK with that),
or to me privately) the output of:

 egrep -i 'enigmail|pgp' ~/.icedove/*.default/prefs.js
 cat ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf

(feel free to redact if you think it would help you feel comfortable
sending this info)

This would help me to see what configurations might be different from
the configurations that work for me.

Another useful thing would be to capture a log of the enigmail
activity. you can get that by creating a log via:

Engmail > Preferences > "Display Expert Menus and Settings" >
 Debugging > "Log directory"

(you might need to restart icedove after making that change) and then
try signing the key again. At that point you should have a debug log
created that you can review and send (again, either publicly -- to this
bug report -- or privately to me)

Hopefully we can get it fixed.

Bug#775949: rhythmbox: Rhytmbox crashes when replay gain plugin is enabled

2015-01-21 Thread Len Huppe
Package: rhythmbox
Version: 3.1-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I recently used Ex Falso to add replay gain tags to my music collection which
is comprised of Flac and MP3 files. After enabling the replay gain plugin to
Rhythmbox it began to lock up. I tried launching the app from a terminal and
this is what was reported when it crashed:

(rhythmbox:10988): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_segment_to_stream_time: assertion
'segment->format == format' failed
sys:1: Warning: g_str_has_prefix: assertion 'str != NULL' failed

At that point I had to do a forced quit to get running again. As a test I
disabled the replay gain plugin and tried playing the same files. As of this
writing Rhythmbox is running ok.

Debian Jessie Beta 2
Ex Falso version 3.2.2
Rhtythmbox version 3.1
libgstreamer1.0-0 version 1.4.4-2

Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

Your Friend,

Len Huppe

Bug#775948: gdb: Replace gdb64 with parallel installable multiarch packages?

2015-01-21 Thread Guillem Jover
Source: gdb
Source-Version: 7.8.1-1
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-cr...@lists.debian.org

[ CCing debian-cross in case my proposal is flawed. ]

Hi!

It would be nice if the gdb64 package could be dropped, because it's
making life hard for bootstrapping, as it's the only reason at least
the expat packages still need to provide multilib packages. If gdb
stopped doing multilib builds it would simplify the process quite a
bit and we could get rid of some redundant cruft, which by now should
be already provided by multiarch.

There's also already a gdb-multiarch package which should be able to
replace the gdb64 package in some circumstances. But for when that's
still not enough, it would be possible to make the gdb package be
Multi-Arch:same, and make it ship triplet-qualified filenames for
files varying per arch, as in /usr/bin/i586-linux-gnu-gdb, which would
allow to co-install them with ones from foreign architectures, like
/usr/bin/x86_64-linux-gnu-gdb.

The maintainer scripts could then use alternatives to create the gdb
and other slave filenames, and assign a higher priority to the native
architecture (the one defined by «dpkg --print-architecture»).

In addition this would give a 64-bit package on 32-bit arches that's
fully functional, as currently the gdb64 packages lack for example
python support, among other things.

What do you think?

Thanks,
Guillem

Bug#711526: mmc0: Timeout waiting for hardware interrupt.

2015-01-21 Thread Francois Gouget

Package: src:linux
Version: 3.16.7-ckt2-1
Followup-For: Bug #711526

Dear Maintainer,

This bug is still present in linux-image-3.16.0-4-amd64: like the
original reporter, when I insert my SD memory card I get the mmc0
timeout errors and the card is not usable.

Note that the same SD card (Transcend SDHC 8GB) works just fine if I
reboot the computer to Windows 8.1.
The card reader is a Broadcom BCM57765/57785 SDXC/MMC Card Reader.

Finally this bug is also present in linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 3.2.65-1+deb7u1.

(I'm assuming there's a missing "no" there?)

Ah sorry, it was not meant as requesting a change during the freeze,
this just came up now as a possible preferable solution and wanted to
note it down here.

It's great if you were already planning on dropping those packages
after the freeze.

Thanks,

Oh, I'm not attached to my proposal at all! It was just to get
something going. Having the output reduced to simply one or two lines
(depending on the verbosity) would be even better. One listing perhaps
the channel and box names (on the more verbose mode), and the other
with your condensed form?

I'm not going to look at this until after the release, sorry. I had
been intending to just drop the cross packages then already so need to
provide a patch.

Bug#775944: Please, document changes between Apache 2.2 and 2.4

2015-01-21 Thread David Prévot
Package: release-notes
Severity: normal

(Apache maintainers X-Debbugs-CC)

Hi,

Many changes in the way to handle configuration (e.g., configuration
files name must now end with .conf, semantic of access control, etc.)
may deserve to be documented in the Release Notes, or at least a pointer
to the upstream documentation. #721071 might be of interest.

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/upgrading.html

David

Bug#775612: Wheezy works fine

2015-01-21 Thread Daniel Curran-Dickinson
Hi,

Just to add to this report: I have create a new root filesystem on the
crypted RAID array and install wheezy and the wheezy install has zero
problems, so it's definitely and issue with jessie and not likley file
system corruption.

I've also noticed under jessie issues with systemd failing to start
some daemons and the tape drive and SCSI adaptor resetting frequently,
so there is likely OS issues (in the case of the adaptor the issue is
probably in the kernel). At this point I suspect jessie is going to
force me to switch to ubuntu when the time comes. In the meantime I'm
back on wheezy.

Regards,

Daniel

I'm watching https://kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/ipvsadm/
which is what Fedora has listed as the upstream website.

Bug#775943: libgtk2.0-0: Gtk Libraries uses the wrong Colornames

2015-01-21 Thread Christian Brabandt
Package: libgtk2.0-0
Version: 2.24.25-1
Severity: normal

In Gvim, run :hi Green guibg=green.

Afterwards run :hi Green to display the highlighted color. Note, that this is a
rather dark green than a light green, that is expected from the X11 color
names. So apparently, the W3C Colornames are used. Gvim uses the function
gdk_color_parse() to parse the colorname into a color definition. I have
verified using a debugger, that this function returns the wrong color. It
should return 0x00FF00 but instead does 0x008000 which happens to be the W3C
Green definition.

If this is the wrong package to report against, please assign to the correct
package. Thanks.

(Side note, Athena gvim works correctly).

This has been discussed on the vim ML, starting here:

Bug#775942: FTCBFS for multilib enabled architectures

2015-01-21 Thread Helmut Grohne
Source: expat
Version: 2.1.0-6
Tags: patch
User: helm...@debian.org
Usertags: rebootstrap

Trying to cross build expat for e.g. powerpc results in a build failure
during dh_strip. It built lib64expat1 using "gcc -m64" which produced
amd64 objects instead of ppc64 objects which powerpc-linux-gnu-strip
does not understand.

I am attaching a patch that changes the build inject a suitable CC
variable which makes cross building expat work.

Bug#775941: gcab: null pointer dereference

2015-01-21 Thread Jakub Wilk

Package: gcab
Version: 0.4-2
Usertags: afl

gcab crashes on the attached file:

$ gcab -t crash.cab
Segmentation fault

GDB says it's a null pointer derefence:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0xf7c760ad in gcab_cabinet_load (self=0x8056420, stream=0x80604d8,
cancellable=0x8054c10, error=0xd5ac) at libgcab/gcab-cabinet.c:388
388 GCabFolder *folder = g_ptr_array_index (folders, cfile.index);
(gdb) print *folders
$1 = {pdata = 0x0, len = 0}

This bug was found using American fuzzy lop:
https://packages.debian.org/experimental/afl

Disclaimer: I don't have spare CPU cycles, so I fuzzed only till the
first crash (which took a few seconds). It's likely that extensive
fuzzing would uncover more interesting crashers. I'd encourage gcab
maintainers to perform fuzzing with AFL on their own. :-)

Ah right, agreed. thanks for pointing this out.

(of course, the e-mail addresses need to all be wrapped in angle
brackets so that they're matched verbatim as e-mail addresses).
