Bug#669748: adminer still broken with apache 2.4

2015-10-15 Thread Hans Mackowiak
even in 2015, this package is not updated to the new apache2 schema
if the package is still shipped with debian (or ubuntu) then it should
be updated or removed because it isnt working in the current state.

Bug#785782:

Weird. It now works.

It appears that an update of libpam-systemd solved the problem. Could that
be it?

Thanks.

This sounds like a better route to me.

We are actually already using systemd:
https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-mysql/mysql-5.6.git/tree/debian/mysql-server-5.6.mysql.service

Given that we're using systemd, should we adjust your patch to do what
you described above instead before applying? That is, ship
/var/lib/mysql and /var/log/mysql using dh_installdirs (if I understand
you correctly)? The systemd service already uses RuntimeDirectory so
will this cause the right thing to happen, or do we still need a
/usr/lib/tmpfiles.d entry?

I stumbled over this in current sid with experimental apt as well.

true, nevermind I didn't test carefully rdeps
(so we might go directly on unstable then)

what about the "any" keyword? I don't like specifying manually architectures,
specially because it makes
porters people angry :)

porters needs a build failure instead of a build that didn't start at all,
except when there is a good
reason to not build on a particular architecture
e.g. systemd on kfreebsd-* and hurd-*

Bug#801860: /bin/journalctl: journalctl --list-boots is too slow and memory hungry

2015-10-15 Thread Edward Allcutt

Hi Michael, :-)

On Thu, 15 Oct 2015, Michael Biebl wrote:

When I run "journalctl --list-boots" (as root) I expected to get the
output instantly or within seconds. Instead there was no output and it
appeared hung. Checking with ps/top/strace I could see it was busy

expand its heap size.

I left it doing that until it had consumed 7+GiB of RSS and had started
to cause memory pressure and swap usage whereupon I killed it.

Is this normal? Might this be a problem with my persistent journal
files? I enabled persistent journal using the instructions in
/usr/share/doc/systemd/README.Debian.gz back in March.

How big is your /var/log/journal/ ? Is that on HDD or SSD?
What does "journalctl --verify" say?

It's a laptop spinning (at 7200 rpm) rust type storage device. I don't
think speed of retrieval from the disk is a factor though.

2015-10-15 Thread Gianfranco Costamagna
Hi, actually it is *so* easy to debug.

it builds successfully here too.
Probably somewhere the buildd machines have some restrictions on the ports you
can open on localhost
(or maybe they have services on the ports).

I think we can just disable the testsuite and live happy, or disable the tests
requiring opening local sockets
(actually local sockets should be allowed to be opened, so you might need to
dig into this issue)

cheers,

G.

Killing the speech-dispatcher process cleaned the problem up. I did not
need to fiddle with PulseAudio to get sound back. So I rather suspect
the culprit was Speech-Dispatcher.

Probably; the only information available in the bug report is that it's
*something* to do with libpam-systemd.

If either you or Daniel can provide relevant logs for the failing case,
someone might be able to say something more specific about it; in the
absence of additional logs, I don't think anyone is going to be able to

I can adopt it, although I'd much prefer to team/co-maintain.

I've done a bit of work, which I just took the liberty of pushing to
branch barak-tweaks in
 git://anonscm.debian.org/git/pmount/pmount-debian.git
This supports btrfs and has some other misc fixes like updated packaging
scripts and rm freeze-my-shell bash completion file.

Barring objections, I'll dput it as better-than-nothing.

Cheers,

Bug#801865: libreoffice: FTBFS[kfreebsd-*]; still uses gcj?

2015-10-15 Thread Steven Chamberlain
Package: libreoffice
Version: 1:5.0.3~rc1-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

Despite this change:
|- build-depend on default-jdk (>= 2:1.7-52.1) for OpenJDK 7 on kfreebsd-*
| again

the regenerated debian/control file in the package still had gcj
in build-depends for kfreebsd. I think this is because of an
out-of-date java-common package, which defines $java_architectures in
/usr/share/java/java_defaults.mk.

Perhaps build-depends should be bumped to java-common (>= 0.52.1~)?
Otherwise in an out-of-date sid chroot it could still try to build
with gcj.

This is probably not the reason for the current FTBFS, but I think it
would be good to rule this out, so that gcj is not installed at all when
libreoffice is built on the Debian buildds.

Thanks!

Bug#791219: This bug blocks the update of SimGrid

thanks

Hello,

SimGrid provides some NS3 bindings since a long time, where the NS
models can be used in place of the SimGrid ones.

The version 3.12 of SimGrid (released monday) tries to use the Debian
version of NS3 when found, but it fails with the following error:
lib/libsimgrid.so.3.13: undefined reference to
  ns3::PacketSinkHelper::PacketSinkHelper(std::__cxx11::basic_string, ns3::Address)'
lib/libsimgrid.so.3.13: undefined reference to
  ns3::internal::MakeUintegerChecker(unsigned long, unsigned long,
  std::__cxx11::basic_string)'
lib/libsimgrid.so.3.13: undefined reference to
  ns3::ObjectFactory::Set(std::__cxx11::basic_string, ns3::AttributeValue
  const&)'
[...]

I think that the transition is now needed.

Thanks for your work,
Mt.

Hi!

It seems that depending on the build system default character encoding,
the non-ASCII characters in org/ognl/test/QuotingTest.java might get
mistranslated.

This also prevents ongl from building reproducibly when one locale is
ISO-8859-15 and the other is UTF-8. See:

Bug#801858: ITP: glui -- GLUT-based C++ user interface library which provides controls such as buttons, checkboxes, radio buttons, and spinners to OpenGL applications

2015-10-15 Thread Johannes Schauer
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Johannes Schauer

* Package name: glui
  Version : 2.37
Upstream Author : Paul Rademacher, Bill Baxter, John Kew, Nigel Stewart
* URL : https://github.com/libglui/glui/wiki
* License : ZLIB
  Programming Lang: C++
Description : GLUT-based C++ user interface library which provides
controls such as buttons, checkboxes, radio buttons, and
spinners to OpenGL applications

Features of the GLUI User Interface Library include:

  * Complete integration with GLUT toolkit
  * Simple creation of a new user interface window with a single line of code
  * Support for multiple user interface windows
  * Standard user interface controls such as:
  *  Buttons
  *  Checkboxes for boolean variables
  * Radio Buttons for mutually-exclusive options
  * Editable text boxes for inputting text, integers, and floating-point
values
  * Spinners for interactively manipulating integer and floating-point
values
  *  Static text fields
  * Panels for grouping sets of controls
  * Separator lines to help visually organize groups of controls
  * Controls can generate callbacks when their values change
  * Variables can be linked to controls and automatically updated when the
value of the control changes ("live variables")
  * Controls can be automatically synchronized to reflect changes in live
variables
  * Controls can trigger GLUT redisplay events when their values change
  * Layout and sizing of controls is automatic
  * Controls can be grouped into columns
  * User can cycle through controls using Tab key

glui is necessary for the OpenGL 3D viewer of 3dtk and Doris, a script
driven OpenGL viewer using Lua.

As upstream of 3dtk I took over maintenance of glui upstream in
agreement with its original authors to make sure it continues to work
well.

OKay!! I gave multiple shots on it and have not been able to determine
why the multipath/multipath binary gets linked to libsystemd.

I'm tagging this bug with "help". Any help is welcome.

Log is attached. And anyone who wants to help can look at the systemd
branch.

So wouldn't it be better to make a new upstream release instead of
adding patches to debian/patches/?

For my taste, the changelog item "Update debian packaging scripts"
should be more verbose. (But then again some people think, my
changelog entries are slightly too verbose. ;-)

We'd prefer to automatically clean up things instead of adding
a clean sub command to the apt command. So after an install,
remove all installed packages.

That's not implemented yet, though.

It's not the purpose of the apt command to replace the other
tools, it exists as a complementary, higher level, interface
for users who do not want to worry about more low level stuff.

Sounds like the header reached the limits of the unfolding buffer.

Yes, but the parser entered probably into a bad state because of the
recipients' header and was unable to get something for those (I'd bet
they're after the very long recipient list).

Agreed :) but just to be sure of my guesses are correct and not having to
build a mail like that by hand, can you send me such mail privately?

You may use also a self-destructing one-time service if you want to be sure

Bug#766426: Dolphin search displays "Invalid protocol" error.

2015-10-15 Thread Brendon Higgins
For the benefit of those, like me, who encounter this problem with a recent
install, note that the solution has changed since the transition in Testing to
KDE Frameworks 5: don't install baloo4, it won't work with current dolphin.
Instead, install baloo-kf5.

Maintainers, please consider making plasma-desktop (or some package you think
is more appropriate - perhaps dolphin) at least recommend baloo-kf5. From what
I can tell, right now, nothing even suggests baloo-kf5, and it's rather opaque
to an ordinary user that this package might be necessary for some standard
functionality.

Peace,

You were correct here, there was something missing from the patch. Even
without the migrations in place an upgrade from the wheezy version did
succeed when I tested it. Perhaps wheezy isn't old enough to need
those.

In any case I'll do a new upload to unstable with this fixed, I'll get

Bug#801850: busybox: readlink gets shadowed by busybox causing debconf to possibly fail

2015-10-15 Thread Olliver Schinagl
Package: busybox
Version: 1:1.22.0-15
Severity: important
Tags: newcomer

Dear Maintainer,

When installing busybox's symlink readlink gets installed (without checking)
into /usr/bin/readlink. Some packages require readlink support via debconf (for
example the flash-kernel package) but busybox's readlink does not offer the -m
option. Coreutils however, a requirement for debian and its tools (debconf),
also supplies readlink. With both coreutils and busybox installed however, the
busybox variant gets used before the coreutils variant causing package
failures.

A quick fix/workaround:
if [ -f /bin/readlink ]; then
unlink /usr/bin/readlink
fi

This on armhf jessie variant using busybox 1:1.22.0-9+deb8u1.

2015-10-15 Thread karthikeyank
I can still confirm the bug, I am using gnome-shell version "3.14.4-1".Is
it fixed or the root cause found? if there is any other workaround to overcome
the issue plese let me know.

I couldn't find any specific pattern of this freezing issue. But, for me
freezing happened in the following situations/scenarios,

1. When the notification/dialogue boxes are opened
 ex a) file properties dialgue
  b) (file) save location selection dialogue opened
2. While browsing (randomly & some 50+ tabs opened in iceweasel)
3. While opening nautilus/gedit etc as root user
Almost all the freezing scenario the mouse pointer is moving but click function
not works.

On each freeze I do switch to tty1 and issuing "/etc/init.d/gdm3 restart".

I guess it's possible. rmadison won't be using any particular font of

The last time I looked at nscd code I was not very happy ;) Also, nscd
has a long history of instability and returning incorrect results.

The upstream glibc community has been working hard to rectify these
issues, and Red Hat in particular spent a lot of time making the
netgroup caching as bullet-proof as possible. If you have real bugs,
please file them upstream and come talk to the community.

Btw, if anyone thinks this is something that libnss-ldapd does wrong,
please let me know. Not all NSS interfaces are consistent in terms of
memory management, return codes, etc. so there could be something
wrong.

They should be consistent. Again, if you find something wrong, please
file a bug. The upstream glibc community is radically different now
and certainly more accepting of discussions on these issues.

Cheers,
Carlos.

How can I help getting this fixed? I can easily reproduce crashes /
hangings in a Debian Edu based setup.

If any of you could provide me with an update glibc / nscd containing
the relevant patches, I can easily give feedback.

The errors take a while before they occur, so I can only give delayed
feedback when a new build for testing is available.

Would it make sense to test glibc from experimental (i.e., rebuild on
a jessie system and install it there)? Or can one of the Debian pkg
maintainers go through the upstream commits relevant and provide me
with a patched glibc based on the version in Debian jessie?

I'd prefer of the glibc maintainer in Debian could play proxy between
Debian BTS and upstream BTS.

Greets+Thanks for input and help on this,
Mike

The question now remains: shall we simply ship /etc/cups/client.conf as
package file in debian-edu-config or treat/create-if-not-there that file
with cfengine.

As the file only makes sense along with the instructions, it would IMO
be best to add these to a Printing Know How chapter of the manual and to
avoid shipping/creating the file.

I don't like creating that file from scratch either. We don't know
with what we will conflict later.

However, deploying systems that cannot print via TJENER right away
sounds a bit awkward, too, IMHO.

The deeper question are...

Why doesn't CUPS browsing work out of the box?
Why does it require a BrowsePoll entry in cups-browsed.conf (at least
it does here...)?

Right?

Basically, if cups-browsed is installed, the local cupsd of a Debian
Edu client should "find" the shared printers on the network.

Maybe we should attempt at getting this fixed?

Mike

Upgraded some KF5 Baloo packages to fix dorked KDE, rebooted, then bingo.

Then a minute-30 second start job runs for a device (differing uuid).

Bug#719601: RFS: datatables.js -- jQuery plug-in that makes nice tables from different data sources

2015-10-15 Thread Andreas Tille
Hi Sascha,

in principle I would like to sponsor. The only thing I do not like is
the fact that two packaging repositories are hanging around in
git.debian.org. This might be confusing for potentially interested
persons. Please either do

  1. merge your repository into collab-maint/jquery-datatables.git
  2. if you have no access to collab-maint yet feel free to move
your repository into Debian Med Git *and* ask Matthias for
either removing his repository or cleaning it up from files
and just drop a README.status file pointing to the actively
 maintained one
  3. ask Matthias for either removing his repository or cleaning it
up from files and just drop a README.status file pointing to
the actively maintained one and stay with your private
 repository

I'd prefer 1. and 2. (in this order) way much over 3.

Kind regards

Andreas.

I absolutely agree and surely would like to sort this out.

Please either do
>
> 1. merge your repository into collab-maint/jquery-datatables.git

Well, the JS policy [1] stating that the repository should reflect the
source package name, which according to the policy should have a
different name than the one Matthias chose several years ago for his
one. But they also state it's not a hard requirement so I guess this is
an option.
However, I would need to be approved for collab-maint access first.
Could you probably help?

Sure, I wanted to get in touch with him anyway.

The private repo was just for sponsoring/review to not leave a stray
package in the Debian Med area in case I get advised to move it to the
Javascript team etc. It definitely was not intended to stay ;)

> I'd prefer 1. and 2. (in this order) way much over 3.

Agreed. If you can help me sort out getting collab-maint access I would
be happy to coordinate the next steps with Matthias to update the
repository he started. If not, I will follow option 2.

Thanks for your help

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package left processes
running after the package has been removed and/or purged.

This is very probably due to not using invoke-rc.d
as mandated by policy 9.3.3.2.

In https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2009/08/msg00182.html and
followups it has been agreed that these bugs are to be filed with
severity serious.

as said on irc:

1) rules:

override_dh_auto_test: please add a comment on the above line regarding the
reason for
disabling the testsuite (requires internet connection or similar)

2) rules:
override_dh_auto_install:
   dh_install

what? ^^^

3) add a README.source explaining the reason for having a dfsg repackage (even
if copyright files-excluded is clear)

4) you install both es5-*.js and es5-*.min.js, are them needed both?

the other stuff looks good to me

So, I just had a look at the latest package version you put up on
mentors and I can't even install the build dependencies:

(experimental-amd64-sbuild)root@z6:/# apt-get install libpng16-dev
libfreetype6-dev
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libfreetype6-dev : Depends: libpng-dev
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
(experimental-amd64-sbuild)root@z6:/#

How did you manage to build the package on your machine? And is there
no way to use an older version of libpng? I don't understand why the
PPSSPP developers thought it would be a good idea to build against
libpng16 when libpng12 is still the default version.

Which desktop environment (if any) are you using?

Could you run

  sh -x /usr/bin/xdg-open somefile.djvu

(where somefile.dvju is a dvju file) and send me the output?

Hi all,

I have tried (in vain) to get more info. about the specific firmware .
The only link I got was an invalid bug in bugs.freedesktop.org

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92024

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1441861

As can be seen from the bug there :-

DCM

DCM is a display micro-controller that provides additional low-power
idle states for improved platform power consumption. The
skl_dmc_ver4.bin firmware is hot-loaded to the display microcontroller
at runtime, and the microcontroller manages the additional low-power
idle states independently from the OS/Kernel.

Yes.

Because libdns-mdns isn't installed. That's what this bug report was all
about originally (and why I filed it against debian-edu cause it's a
task problem).

So to fix the printing issue for stretch, this might be the way to go.

As far as jessie is concerned I'm unsure if such a change would be
acceptable, so I searched for another solution.

upstream to see what the Net-ARP author would say. His answer was:

I am not actively developing in Perl anymore and only fix nasty bugs
and security issues in that Perl module, but if you would provide a
working patch I would integrate it.

It is unlikely that I will find the time to develop such a patch myself
in the forseeable future, but I will certainly look at / forward any
contributions by other people (but by all means feel free to work with
upstream directly).

some are dependencies for the tests (IIRC), some are optional in circus
(imported
in a try/except), but I prefer to keep them as Build-Depend to ensure these
execution
path are tested. In fact, some of them should be added in the Recommends or
Suggests section.

I do, but one step at a time :-)

because I don't want these in the python package, but only in
/usr/share/doc/circus/examples

Ok I'll fix that

Bug#788418: New upload in mentors

2015-10-15 Thread Ghislain Vaillant

On 14/10/15 13:55, Herbert Parentes Fortes Neto (hpfn) wrote:

Hi Ghislain,

Alright, I have uploaded a new candidate package on mentors.

However, the lintian on mentors shows an error that I cannot reproduce
locally on my gbp build. The error is the following:

postinst-must-call-ldconfig

and makes no-sense to me, as I am not doing anything much differently
from the previous upload. Besides, my local lintian does not show it.

Thoughts?

Your local lintian is 'sid' ? If so, it is a different
version of mentors, I believe.

I asked the same question days ago. And debhelper on
sid should take care of it.

regards,

So these errors should probably be disregarded.

The package in mentors is ready for review then.

Awaiting Gianfranco's comments.

Many thanks,
Ghis

Bug#801847: xorg: Cannot type after X restart

2015-10-15 Thread Andreas Tscharner
Package: xorg
Version: 1:7.7+12
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I start my computer and login (using slim) without problems (into WindowMaker).
After terminating the session slim starts up again, but I cannot type anything
at all.
Also I noticed that I cannot type anything on the console that is showing up
for a short time before X restarts-

This happens on my laptop (Intel 4000 gfx card with open driver) as well as on
my desktop (nVidia with proprietary driver).

I think you should follow JS policy which I was not aware about. So the
best thing to do would probably be to rename the existing repository to
collab-maint/datatables.js.git.

I think you need to follow the procedure explained here:

   https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2012/01/msg6.html

I admit I was not aware of a Javascript team. May be it makes sense
then to join this team and move the Git repository there. I'm fine with
sponsoring your package also in this case.

Feel free to either join collab-maint or Javascript team and ping me
if you need further help.

Kind regards

Still looking for a reliable way to trigger this issue, a minimal test
case. For some reason I don't run into this problem, so we need to find
the conditions under which that happens.

Please provide the complete list of packages you installed/upgraded
since the last time you booted successfully.

Did anything change in your configuration?

What exactly is your configuration? LVM details, fstab etc would be
great to have. As many details as possible.

The dmesg output about logind doesn't look relevant.

Bug#801474: kscreen: No longer supports 2 monitors

Package: kscreen
Followup-For: Bug #801474

Salvo,

I'm not the maintainer and don't have too much knowledge of KScreen but maybe I
can help you.

I installed the 4:5.4.2-1 versión of kscreen and on my system both monitors
work fine.
Plug and unplug are detected correctly and the screens are positioned
correctly.

Do you find errors on $HOME/.xsession-errors or /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

KScreen had some problemas in the past that were solved by deleting the files
in $HOME/.local/share/kscreen/

I hope to be helpful.

Bug#697821: ITP: ppsspp -- ppsspp: A portable PSP emulator.

2015-10-15 Thread Sérgio Benjamim

Hi,

How did you manage to build the package on your machine? And is there
no way to use an older version of libpng? I don't understand why the
PPSSPP developers thought it would be a good idea to build against
libpng16 when libpng12 is still the default version.

Adrian

All distro moved or are moving to libpng16, only debian is in the 1.2.x
for ages.

I fixed it in the dirty way: I installed manually the headers and
pkgconfig of 1.6 in the system :)

There's no way to use 1.2, upstream is using new features of 1.6, I
tried once.

I actually did also push them to the maintain-0.9.23 branch of
 git://anonscm.debian.org/pmount/pmount.git
But maybe it would be best if people test it a bit before making an
"upstream" release...

Bug#801767: hexchat pkgconfig file

2015-10-15 Thread Jesse Rhodes
Sebastien,

I will not be including your patch in the hexchat debian package for
the following reasons:

- the changelog line is incorrect as these files were intentionally left out
- you have not given any justification for also including the dbus file
- most importantly, pkgconfig files go in -dev packages, not main
binary packages.

However, (he)xchat-indicator functionality is something that is
requested often. So please do confirm if it actually WORKS with
hexchat (not just builds) and if so then I will add a -dev package for
this purpose.

Bug#798341: [inkscape] impossible to install inkscape

2015-10-15 Thread Diego Alejandro Agudelo España
Hey Mattia,

Thanks a lot for such a detailed answer. It seems that I'm in situation 3b
(it asks me to remove half of the system :( ) as well. I've no idea about
the package that can be generating the issue.

The most problematic package seems to be libsigc++-2.0-0v5 and according to
[1] a complex transition is taking place right now. This can be a potential
cause as well but in this scenario I have no idea about how to proceed.

On the other hand I think that now that I'm better prepared to fix issues
with apt with your recommendations and hints. I really appreciate your help.

Diego

I have uploaded the latest version to mentors. Currently, the old maintainers
are still listed in debian/control. I’m happy to assume responsibility for bug
reports etc, so do I need to add myself to Uploaders? I don’t want to tread on
anyone’s toes though if that’s bad form.

A workaround exists: on every client root directory, write the
following to a file in /etc/kernel/postinst.d/ (you'll probably also
want "UMASK=022" in your /etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf, too):

#!/bin/sh
set -e
# Ensure that kernel image is readable by tftpd
vmlinuz_location="$2"
if test -e "$vmlinuz_location"
then
chmod a+r "$vmlinuz_location"

Please report this to the upstream (Github issue).

I checked the code, it's not totally trivial since currently all builtin
applets are initialized on-the-fly and are only hidden/revealed when the
device goes up/down. Your wish means that we would need to maintain an
unknown number of devices and that number can change randomly... this
should be possible but has some implications in icewm's static
structure.

I have started work on packaging calendarserver 7.0. The current status
is that with python-sqlparse 0.1.13, the calendarserver process starts
successfully. Here are the pending action items:

1. Figure out how to resolve dependency on sqlparse 0.1.14 (blocker)
2. twexty remove dependency on Python.h. When running calendarserver, it
throws an error:
/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/twext/python/__pycache__/_cffi_twext_python_sacl_xe128630fxbbd600c.c:2:20:
fatal error: Python.h: No such file or directory. Installing python-dev
solves the issue but we should ideally be doing it at the time of
building the twext package.

3. calendarserver systemd script (is it ok to continue using init.d script)?
4. Test regular flow
5. Test LDAP configuration
6. Test NSS directory service
7. Test upgrade from 3.x and 5.x

Other Notes:

1. All the necessary packages' git repos are at
http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/calendarserver/ (twextpy.git and

pg800.git are the new packages that calendarserver depends on).

2. The directory layout that I am following is as described in :
http://honk.sigxcpu.org/projects/git-buildpackage/manual-html/gbp.import.html#GBP.BRANCH.NAMING

3. If you want to do any changes, you can checkout "debian/sid" branch
and work on it. Latest upstream code has already been imported to the
debian/sid branch of all the four packages (calendarserver, twextpy,
pycalendar, pg8000).

4. To build calendarserver packages, run the command:

gbp buildpackage --git-ignore-new --git-debian-branch=debian/sid
--git-upstream-tag="dfsg/%(version)s" --git-pristine-tar --git-pbuilder
--git-arch=amd64 --git-dist=DEP14

To build any of the remaining packages (pycalendar / twextpy / pg8000), run:

gbp buildpackage --git-ignore-new --git-debian-branch=debian/sid
--git-pristine-tar --git-pbuilder --git-arch=amd64 --git-dist=DEP14

The initial cowbuilder directory can be created using:

DIST=sid ARCH=amd64 git pbuilder create

Thanks,
Rahul.

Embedding a library is an absolute no-go in Debian, particularly
with core stuff like libpng. The security team is going to kill
you when they find out.

The fact that someone managed to sneak their packages with an
embedded library into the archive doesn't make it any better. You
should talk to the FTP team with a beer over this. They'll tell
you how much they have to reject just because people's packaging
is sometimes really horrible despite the fact that DDs should
know better!

We already have several huge transitions going on. I am maintainer
and co-maintainer for m68k, sh4, sparc, sparc64 and x32 and I am
happy about any transition which is currently not going on yet
as transitions cost a lot of pain for us.

Yes, that's my whole point. We can upload it like that. As simple
as that. A random emulator is not important enough that I start
a fight with the security or release team.
