Bug#408755: gkrellm fails to come up (problem with gkrellmwireless?)
Package: gkrellm Version: 2.2.9-1 I am running Debian Etch with gkrellm, gkrellm-x86info (0.0.2-7) and gkrellmwireless (2.0.3-1). My wireless-system consists of ipw2200 with wpasupplicant. I'm just using fluxbox as windowmanager and my .xinitrc looks like this: exec startfluxbox wmpid=$! aterm -geometry +2+2 aterm -geometry +2+352 aterm -geometry +575+2 gkrellm wait $wmpid I bring up the x-window-system with startx. Not always but often gkrellm fails then to come up, qouting: gkrellm memory access failure: Wireless (update_monitor) When I try to start gkrellm from the command-line, it says: (gkrellm:3280): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_x11_gc_get_xgc: assertion `GDK_IS_GC_X11 (gc)' failed Im using an unpatched Vanilla-Kernel 2.6.19.2. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#305906: ppp doesn't create a dsl-connection
Package: ppp Version: 2.4.3-20050321+1 Today I've updated the above mentioned package. After the next reboot, I couldn't start a DSL-connection via rp.pppoe. No browser-activity, no ping, nothing. The onle message from plog: Apr 22 21:19:17 localhost pppd[3489]: Plugin rp-pppoe.so loaded. Apr 22 21:19:18 localhost pppd[3521]: pppd 2.4.3 started by root, uid 0 Apr 22 21:19:18 localhost pppd[3521]: sendPacket: send: Network is down Apr 22 21:19:18 localhost pppd[3521]: Exit. I knew this behaviour, 'cause I had it with Sid a few weeks ago. For the running session I can start a dsl-connection after running pppoeconf. But this will only last for the current session. After a reboot, pon dsl-provider fails again. Downgrading ppp to some 2.4.2-version is a kind of workaround. I'm using Debian Sarge, kernel 2.6.12-rc2 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
