I have errors messages when generating the initramfs with md devices.
As I can see, the problem comes from the while loop line 186 of
/usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/mdadm.
the last argument of the DEVICE line is treated as md devices.

I have added a little script in the initrd image to wait for the hard
drives to be up.
Sometimes, the udev script in init-premoutnt finish before the hard
drives are detected. This is due to the firmware loading.
Then mdadm in local-top do not find my devices and the boot fails.

With kvm 72+dfsg-5 everything is fine, I can ping host from the guest

* update-initramfs (get_linux_dir): If the kernel is not present, find the
initrd, fall back to default $BOOTDIR.

file.
The advantage is to be able to deploy template for ocsinventory.conf
(with personnalized configuration values) and don't worry about the
dbconfig
