Please understand that people developing Debian are volunteers and if
they didn't care about Debain they wouldn't even bother with any other
bug, which we all know isn't a case.
I'm sure there's a reason why your bug was left unanswered, maybe

By default, GTK application in KDE will use GTK widget, so that would
explain why nobody is aware of the issue. Gnome user will sure not
having this issue.

It seems this bug has been fixed with the latest version of
gtk-qt-engine and that this bug report can be closed.
