When playing back .m4a files (downloaded from iTunes some time ago), I
see a funny effect with playback/total time information.
mplayer opens an X window displaying the album artwork
I suspect that this has something to do with the embedded album artwork,
as the MJPEG stream used for it obviously has no timing information.
Yet this doesn't explain the mix-up between OSD and console.

this looks as though oidentd was not able to determine the user the
connection belongs to.
Can you reproduce this error, for example, send me the relevant line
from netstat -ntopa, a tcpdump of the ident conversation, or the like?
