Bug#728159: autofs_5.0.7 fails when DNS is required at boot

2013-10-28 Thread Dustin Howett
Package: autofs Version: 5.0.7-3 When autofs with autofs-ldap is configured to bind to a LDAP server by its domain name, a la LDAP_URI=ldap://host.name;, it fails to bind on boot and remains in a state of failure. In my case, the LDAP_URI is uhf.nebula. The logs show as follows: Oct 28 16:59:23

Bug#841385: Acknowledgement (golang-go does not participate in alternatives, gccgo-6 stomps /usr/bin/go)

2016-10-20 Thread Dustin Howett
It appears that change 02a01ead in pkg-golang/golang.git backed out alternatives support: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-golang/golang.git/commit/?h=golang-1.6=02a01eadb65fa19631ed5a8c491d70c212e0ec96 I cannot readily determine why (from either the Debian or Ubuntu bug trackers.)

Bug#841258:

2016-10-20 Thread Dustin Howett
I overlooked this report and created #841385, which tracks the same issue. In short, it doesn't look like golang-1.7-go and golang-1.6-go versions above 1.6.1 provide alternatives integration.

This remains an issue, and it happens every time even a maintenance rebuild of gccgo is published.

Bug#934736: initramfs-tools: MODULES=dep fails when rootfs is zfs

2023-09-01 Thread Dustin Howett
This is unfortunately still an issue with initramfs-tools 0.142 on debian sid as of 2023-09-01. Is there a process that the community can follow to propose Aron Xu's patch (which works for v0.142 as well) for inclusion in mainline? Thanks, d
