Bug#935586: thunderbird: Creation of IMAP folders fails without error message due to limit on the server
Package: thunderbird Version: 1:60.8.0-1~deb9u1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer, I've tried to create a new folder on my IMAP GMX account using Thunderbird. I right-clicked on the accout and selected "New Folder...". No new folder was created and no error message appeared. So I logged into the GMX web interface and tried to create the folder from there. This failed with an error message that said I had reached the limit of folders for my account type. I would expect Thunderbird to display a user-visible, understandable error message about the failure to create a folder. Currently, the creation simply fails silently. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.9 APT prefers oldstable-updates APT policy: (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable-debug'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-0.bpo.5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages thunderbird depends on: ii debianutils 4.8.1.1 ii fontconfig2.11.0-6.7+b1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.22.0-1 ii libc6 2.24-11+deb9u4 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.14.8-1 ii libcairo2 1.14.8-1 ii libdbus-1-3 1.10.28-0+deb9u1 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.108-2 ii libevent-2.0-52.0.21-stable-3 ii libffi6 3.2.1-6 ii libfontconfig12.11.0-6.7+b1 ii libfreetype6 2.6.3-3.2 ii libgcc1 1:6.3.0-18+deb9u1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-02.36.5-2+deb9u2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.3-2 ii libgtk-3-03.22.11-1 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.31-2 ii libjsoncpp1 1.7.4-3 ii libpango-1.0-01.40.5-1 ii libstartup-notification0 0.12-4+b2 ii libstdc++66.3.0-18+deb9u1 ii libvpx4 1.6.1-3+deb9u1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.4-3+deb9u1 ii libx11-xcb1 2:1.6.4-3+deb9u1 ii libxcb-shm0 1.12-1 ii libxcb1 1.12-1 ii libxext6 2:1.3.3-1+b2 ii libxrender1 1:0.9.10-1 ii libxt61:1.1.5-1 ii psmisc22.21-2.1+b2 ii x11-utils 7.7+3+b1 ii zlib1g1:1.2.8.dfsg-5 Versions of packages thunderbird recommends: ii hunspell-de-at [hunspell-dictionary] 20161207-1 ii hunspell-de-ch [hunspell-dictionary] 20161207-1 ii hunspell-de-de [hunspell-dictionary] 20161207-1 ii hunspell-en-us [hunspell-dictionary] 20070829-7 ii lightning 1:60.8.0-1~deb9u1 Versions of packages thunderbird suggests: ii apparmor 2.11.0-3+deb9u2 ii fonts-lyx 2.2.2-1 ii libgssapi-krb5-2 1.15-1+deb9u1 -- no debconf information

Bug#897688: RFP: tomboy-ng -- simple note-taking application
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: tomboy-ng Version : 0.14 Upstream Author : David Bannon* URL : https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Tomboy/tomboy-ng , https://github.com/tomboy-notes/tomboy-ng * License : GPL-3.0 Programming Lang: Pascal Description : simple note-taking application The GNOME application tomboy-ng is still in development. It is supposed to replace Tomboy Notes when it is far enough along. The original Tomboy Notes provides the essential features needed for note taking (simple formatting, links, synchronization of notes). It is very useful for simple notes. According to its authors, tomboy-ng is not yet ready for general use. Nevertheless, I'd like to see it packaged for Debian so that it will be available when it's ready. Additionally, the original Tomboy notes is currently not in testing and I'd rather have an unstable Tomboy variant in the next release than no Tomboy at all.
Bug#870034: blackbird-gtk-theme: Consider adding a dependency on gtk3-engines-xfce
Package: blackbird-gtk-theme Version: 0.4+20160704~ab4a30e-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, unlike some other themes, the Blackbird theme actually works fine with recent GTK versions (at least in my experience). However, on XFCE the theming only seems to be enabled for certain applications (e.g. Thunderbird) when gtk3-engines-xfce is installed. Please consider adding gtk3-engines-xfce as a dependency so that this theme works out of the box for all applications. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.1 APT prefers stable-debug APT policy: (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages blackbird-gtk-theme depends on: ii gtk2-engines-murrine 0.98.1.1-6 blackbird-gtk-theme recommends no packages. blackbird-gtk-theme suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
Bug#870033: blackbird-gtk-theme: Please package a new upstream version
Package: blackbird-gtk-theme Version: 0.4+20160704~ab4a30e-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer, thanks for packaging the Blackbird theme. It seems to be the only dark theme for XFCE that's currently usable. The default themes don't work well with Eclipse (e.g. buttons in the search windows aren't visible or their text isn't readable). There are a few warnings when using the version of Blackbird that's currently packaged in Stretch. For example, when I use evince I get several warnings like (evince:2418): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme parsing error: gtk-widgets.css:186:14: not a number (evince:2418): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme parsing error: gtk-widgets.css:186:14: Expected a string. I suppose they're harmless but they're annoying. There were a few commits in the upstream repository that fix warnings so I'd like to see a new upstream version in Debian. This would also allow people to eventually request a backport for Stretch. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.1 APT prefers stable-debug APT policy: (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages blackbird-gtk-theme depends on: ii gtk2-engines-murrine 0.98.1.1-6 blackbird-gtk-theme recommends no packages. blackbird-gtk-theme suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
Bug#869793: gtk3-engines-xfce: Seems to be required for dark themes to work on XFCE in Stretch for some programs
Package: gtk3-engines-xfce Version: 3.2.0-2 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? I've updated to Debian Stretch from Debian Jessie today. Upon launching some applications (e.g. Thunderbird), I noticed that they didn't properly obey the dark theme that I had installed. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? * What was the outcome of this action? I tried a few things, including installing new themes, which didn't have any effect. After installing gtk3-engines-xfce, the theming worked correctly again. When I uninstall the package, the theming is no longer obeyed. * What outcome did you expect instead? I would have expected gtk3-engines-xfce to be installed when upgrading from Jessie to Stretch. If that's not possible, a warning during the release notes or something similar would have been nice. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.1 APT prefers stable-debug APT policy: (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gtk3-engines-xfce depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.22.0-1 ii libc62.24-11+deb9u1 ii libcairo-gobject21.14.8-1 ii libcairo21.14.8-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.36.5-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.3-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.22.11-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.40.5-1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.40.5-1 gtk3-engines-xfce recommends no packages. gtk3-engines-xfce suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

The GitHub issue at https://github.com/froydnj/ironclad/issues/76 doesn't mention it explicitly, but I suspect that the upstream commit that fixes the problem is https://github.com/sbcl/sbcl/commit/86a0d4b23b0a03c09947c06e5c7bdf770f34821a . The commit following that one, https://github.com/sbcl/sbcl/commit/cda85b7a791a1d1958b78d84d32e11b6ff297609 , seems to have some ARM test fixes. Not sure if those are relevant.
Bug#830565: evince: Segmentation fault in Evince when searching after opening a PDF
Package: evince Version: 3.14.1-2+deb8u1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I was trying to use Evince to search in a PDF.
