Bug#781172: Some More Info

2015-04-26 Thread Florian Attenberger
Hello,

i can reproduce this reliably, in a kvm vm.
This is only broken if you remove the disks while powered down.
Hot-Remove, reboot, Hot-Add (and Probably Cold-Add) works as it should.

Cheers,

Florian

Bug#513698: uswsusp: Resume from s2disk fails without warning if there's no initrd

2009-01-31 Thread Florian Attenberger
Package: uswsusp
Version: 0.7-1.2
Severity: normal

s2disk seems to depend on having an initrd to resume.
It would be nice to get a warning when there's no initrd for the current
kernel, even a general warning upon installation, if there's no initrd
for the current kernel.

Yes, i ran some command that created local config files for no
particular purpose except couriosity. That was definitely before
installing lmodern.

Thanks very much for your help,

Bug#267958: acknowledged by developer (Re: epiphany-browser: Crashes when opening download manager)

2005-01-27 Thread Florian Attenberger
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1
| Hi,
|
| This is a followup for Debian bug http://bugs.debian.org/267958 where
| you claim that Epiphany crashes when opening the download manager.
|
| This bug seemed to be specific to your architecture, amd64, and
| you said this was probably related to the compiler being used to
| build mozilla and/or epiphany. Hence, I understand this bug is fixed
| for and/or you took the necessary actions to report the problem to the
| gcc team. I'm closing this bug, please reopen it if necessary.
|
It is not fixed before debian officially switches to gcc 3.4 or higher.
Currently it is 3.3.5. However I do not care for this bug to be fixed
since it is appearantly specific to compilers prior to 3.4 and there are
currently to many bugs in debian-amd64 for me to use it consistently. So
~ I will stick to i386 at least till debian switches to 3.4, which would
solve that bug in time for me.
So, I'm fine with this bug being closed, since fixing it might just take
time off more important stuff ).

Bug#290537: alsa-source: make-kpkg clean doesn't clean

2005-01-14 Thread Florian Attenberger
Package: alsa-source
Version: 1.0.7-3~rc1
Severity: important

this specific output below is the result of alsa-source failing to build
against 2.6.10 previously and now. Manually cleaning alsa-source ( rm -r
modules/alsa-driver tar xfj alsa-driver.tar.bz2 ) makes the build
work as expected on 2.6.9.
#289870 looks like what i'd expect my alsa-modules to function alike.
( if building against 2.6.10 worked for me ).
