The debian x.org comes with a unichrome.sf.net version and the
appropriate manpage. The X.org 6.8.2 release still came with something
very closely resembling the august 2003 VIA release (due to my tardyness
when 6.8.2 went into a freeze).

vesa seems to have the same problem, and i don't know what stopped you
with the tseng driver but it's probably the same thing. If you want good
results on _all_ cards (if they exist), you will have to use the tseng
driver. (in as far as it is usable)
