Hi,
2.6.23-rc2 has the same behaviour.
To set frequencies in multiples of 16 is good enough, but it could break
software which relied on different behaviour until kernel 2.6.18 ( or
on different behaviour on other machines.) So I would consider it as a
bug.

Martin

Sorry, I forget to sent the actual bug-report. Here it is:
If one choses (in the Print dialog window) to print a page
to a file in the home directory, this silently fails. The
file will not be created. Printing to files in other
directories works fine.

Package: initscripts
Version: 2.88dsf-32
Severity: important
During boot checkroot-bootclean.sh deletes part of /run/udev,
so that X cannot be started.
The reason might be that mountkernfs.sh creates files .ramfs in the
tmpfs-directories, while /lib/init/bootclean.sh expects .tmpfs.

Indeed, not all scripts were updated. I did this now
manually, and everything works fine now! Sorry for the
noise.
Thanks,
Martin
PS: I did not find out how to tell
aptitude to update all init-scripts.

If a dvi-file is updated and I click on the xdvi-window to reload the
file, the program crashes. At least if the changes of the file are
locate at the very beginning this happens very often ca in 20% of the
cases I tried it.
I attach xdvi's error message.

Dear Norbert,
I attach test1.dvi and test2.dvi. After
$ cp test1.dvi test.dvi
$ xdvi test.dvi
$ cp test2.dvi test.dvi
and a mouse-click into the xdvi-window
xdvi _invariably_ crashes on my machine.

Martin
