I think this bug can be closed, There was no feed back from bug reporter
and the problem is in 2 years old. Anyway, the programs generated by
FPC are known to work on both kernel versions 2.4 and 2.6.

by the original package sources (which was developed for
windows latex). This bug prevents using the texlive-lang-arab to produce
documents. Just converting Arabicore.sty occurrences to arabicore.sty (4
occurrences) fixes the problem.

This is a bug in FPC and not in Lazarus build system. The issue is that
FPC generates near call (22 bits) on SPARC machines instead of long
calls (32 bits). This prevent huge applications like Lazarus to link.
The reason this appears only after splitting the packages is that now
Lazarus is built
There is a bug in fpc-source package not shipping Makefile.fpc which
prevent using -Tall for fpcmake. We need to fix this before we can close
this bug.

New fpc-source package (fpc-source = 2.2.0-dfsg1-7) will contain make
files with support of all target. Then the user just need to create his
own cross compiler and cross RTL.

LCL is recommended by lazarus, so if your package manager does not pull
