There is a fix for LP #950713 in cups-filters (1.0.5-1). Hopefully it
will solve your issue
Package: cups-filters
Version: 1.0.5-1
Followup-For: Bug #660348
Dear Maintainer,
The recent update of cups-filter did not solve my problem. It was
hinted by Ubuntu bug 950713 that foomatic-filters 4.0.14 would solve
this issue, but it has made it worse with the foomatic HL-5240 driver.
The
Since the bug report I purged and then removed any old files from
/etc/cups and /usr/lib/cups that did not belong to some other package.
I'll note that the ghostscript-cups package has a new file:
ghostscript-cups: /usr/lib/cups/filter/gstopxl
that is not present on the Wheezy box. Also, the
Report 660420 is describing the same issue as my report.

My report 660348 is reporting the same issue. For the moment, this
needs to remain at Grave as the breakage is due to a package version
upgrade and no debconf configuration was provided. I presume this to be
a bug and should properly block the update from reaching Testing.

Dear Maintainer,
I have tried all standard splash themes and do not see the crash in
Wheezy's package. I believe this report may be closed as fixed
upstream.

The latest CUPS update to fix some aspect of PostScript printing had no
effect on my problem with the Brother HL-5240. It still cranks out
single blank sheets although the PDF file is damaged is gone and per
the Web interface the job seems to be completed normally.
I've confirmed no change in

Dear Maintainer,
Upgrading to the current version of Wicd in Sid causes all SSIDs to be

Not a hidden SSID, but a SSID containing a \x00. See #655159, and messages

Dear Maintainer,
A few days ago an update to console-setup arrived in Sid. I have chosen not to
use the default fonts on my consoles and have set FONTFACE and FONTSIZE to empty
strings only to have them replaced by other values. The result

The patch applied cleanly to the vbox DKMS source. Also, I did not have
