I use dosemu not with freedos, but with novell dos 7.
There is a bug in the freedos mfs-code, so I cannot use dosemu ipx to
novell 3.12 servers.
There is a bug in dosemu.conf:
The default of $_hdimage is not drives/* as stated in the comment. To
use novell dos, I had to change $_hdimage
There seems to be a mininum fieldlength for numeric fields of 4 bytes.
fieldname,c,1 can be saved
fieldname,n,1,0 cannot be saved
So, as workaround, very short fields should be characterfields
or - as numeric fields - should at least have a length of 4 bytes.

I have two systems, one using a custom 2.6.25 kernel without initrd and one
using the latest debian 2.6.26 kernel with initrd. The debian-kernel
boots fine using the new udev, the kernel without initrd doesn't boot.
So, maybe the absence of initrd is connect to the bug.

I suppose their is is a bug in the kernel driver - at least the call
parameters are not checked thoroughly - that was triggered by (a bug
from?) the xorg-driver and the trigger disappeared.
The bug on the xorg-driver can be closed, but I don't know if there
should be a bug report on the kernel

I didn't realize
I too got the crash on a 32-bit system, but after upgrading to
kde 4.9.5 from qt-kde2.debian.net, the crash did'nt occur any more.

Uhm... by looking at
http://release.debian.org/transitions/html/cogl.html, cheese is green
for amd64, but it depends on libcheese-gtk21 which depends on libcogl5.

As ifupdown since 0.7.41 starts the loopbackinterface automatically, it
aborts on the line:
auto lo
in /etc/network/intefaces
I commented that line out and the interfaces where brought up at boot.
