With the kernel from linux-image-2.6.18-2-686, fans for my laptop
(HP nc6120) don't work anymore after an S3 suspend/resume cycle.
Did this work with older kernels?

Really simple fix. /usr/bin/policy-rc.d will continue to work
for users who have it there, yet for those who want to put the
