So this bug is indeed in partman and/or partman-md. I had a look at
partman-md, but wasn't able to find anything obvious or sligthly less so.

Hi
As the mol maintainer I would really appreciate it if you could include
my patch before the etch release. The patch is already
is to disable unionfs module builds until these issues are fixed.

So, I need to boot the d-i with the newt installer, switch to another
VT and run the program, right?
BTW, how do you easily add a binary to the d-i?
You wget it from somewhere :)

Hi, ...
it seems this bug is also affecting i386 and s390.
Ah, i found one hint on this.
I found that :
printf (%s\n, LSTRING);
Doesn't print anything, and that the L-strings are used with ENABLE_NLS, which
seems to be set
on parted -s print to find
information about the partition table to break, like the one checking for
RAID partitions in d-i. (Closes: #392767)

#392767 being one of the two parted related RC bugs still open, but the other
.
No problem, i am happy we found it before the release though.
Will you be able to work out a better/cleaner patch ? And work with us to
merge it upstream ?
