Bug#824163: [bluez] new versions available
Package: bluez Version: 5.36-1+b1 Severity: whishlist Priority: normal Hi, The bluez version in debian is outdated. New bluez versions are correcting bugs (particularly in OBEX and A2DP) and some ugly hid disconnection (I experiment it with an bluetooth mouse). There are also interesting feature Start Limited Discovery compatible with kernel 4.5+ which is now available in testing. Is it possible to upload lastest version (5.39 at this time) in experimental or unstable ? Regards Mourad

I have tried all I could think of to resolve this, one of the operations rendering my system totally useless ... so I did a lot of manual work to fix it. Anyways, the long story in short: Download the appropriate libc6 2.13.-27 library from snapshot.debian.net, in my case for 64 bit installation (amd64): http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20120227T041421Z/pool/main/e/eglibc/libc6_2.13-27_amd64.deb dpkg -i libc6_2.13-27_amd64.deb Which fixes libraries and configuration files which might have gone bad probably by mixing repos (testing and unstable) for example or from other sources ... After that, apt-get -f install fixes the required packages and dependencies for libc6-(friends). Let me know if you are not able to resolve the problem. PS: I am not subscribed to the list, so CC me. Bug#577555: Seem to be solved in 2.6.37
Hi, I'm using 2.6.37 experimental trunk kernel with firmware-atheros 0.28 and everything seem to work normally now... No more lag on wireless connection, good performance, no more problem to associate to an AP, so it works for me ;) Regards Mourad -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#577555: Problem still exists
Hi, It is a little better with uncrypted connexion with 2.6.34 and 2.6.35, but there always some cuts, the card is not loosing the signal, but connection become unusable for some seconds (I put a plasmoid showing me a graph), it is alternating between normal broadband et very tiny one. My test are at 3 meters form the AP with anything between AP and my computer and without any other wifi device... I don't know how to get some more information, kernel logs and syslogs haven't got any informations about that subject... I haven't yet test that with the 2.6.36 RC. Hi, I solve that issue by removing kbluetooth (1:0.4.2-3), no more crash with bluedevil ! I think it would be better to add that conflict in the package controls to prevent that issue...
