That is indeed strange, because as Hilmar pointed out, the upstream code of

It could be that I need to manually add 'emacsen-common (= 2.0.8)' as a

When you remove your CJK installation, check that you have emacsen-common

I hope to get a working package (amd64) ready within a week or two.
Hi
I too am struck by this bug with the same netinst boot CD, version 5.04.
It happens to be an HP Elitebook 8530w laptop.
Is there any possibility of using a netinst boot CD using a more
recent kernel? I don't have jigdo at my disposal, so I am completely
dependent on prebuilt ISO images.
If
Thanks for the suggestion.
The current testing ISO did indeed solve the issue.
Cheers!

This is interesting; I didn't have a texlive-bin directory.
However, reinstalling texlive-base-bin seems to have worked, and the

Well the problem is fixed... Thank you!
Hi
Just like Frank wrote, package texlive-base-bin is required for
debianize-fmtutil.
I did a quick check on the Debian PTS pages, and the chain adds up in
Lenny (Debian stable), so I'm curious to know why texlive-base-bin
wasn't pulled in by the APT installer.
Could you perform the command from
Hi
Just a small status update: I am currently revising the 45kb patch
file(about 1/3 is finished), and expect to have a new version in
Debian/unstable by the end of this week.

Hi Vincent
A bit more explanation what the bug is. When starting freecol, I
can play one or two turns. It always crashes during the End Turn
phase when the AI is working.
My $JAVA_HOME variable is set to /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun, and in
/etc/alternatives the java binary links to SUN's version.
Hi Vincent
Below you will find the contents of `hs_err_pid10046.log'.
I also found another temporary file in /tmp:
% file /tmp/JF441257453087768560.tmp
/tmp/+~JF441257453087768560.tmp: TrueType font data
Could it be that it crashes because of a font issue?

Bonjour Vincent!
Switching from Sun's JRE to OpenJDK's works:
[2010-03-28 14:23:25] da...@tls2ce911hx8s ~
% JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk freecol
It's quite slowe compared to Sun's (which I need for Groovy and
Grails), but at least it doesn't crash anymore (for now, that is ;-)).

Norbert: the current patch causes unnecessary inconveniences for other

It seems that on line 101 of the debian/rules file I need to add

I'm currently rebuilding the latex-cjk-chinese-arphic package as a
