Bug#673231: O: aaphoto -- Auto Adjust Photo, automatic color correction of photos

2012-05-17 Thread Andras Horvath
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Dear Developers and Maintainers,

I don't have the resources to maintain my aaphoto package for Debian anymore,
so I intend to orphan the aaphoto package.

If anyone is interested to adopt it, feel free to get in touch with me,
I gladly give all the info or help I can.

The package description is:
Auto Adjust Photo is a tiny command-line image manipulation
tool for automatic color correction of photos. It tries to
make the picture look better. The program does this by
analyzing the input image and then sets the most optimal
contrast, gamma, color balance and saturation for it.

Regards,
Andras Horvath

Bug#656243: roundcube-core: File name of attachment displayed incorrectly

2012-01-17 Thread Andras Horvath
Package: roundcube-core
Version: 0.5.4
Severity: important

When I compose a mail and attach a file with extra characters in it,
then the file name of the attachment on the sent mail is displayed
incorrectly - as if with a wrong encoding.

This problem exists only on the user interface. On both server side and
at the recipient side the file name of the attachment appears good.
What more, sending mail from a mail client (Thunderbird or Oulook)
doesn't bring up any issues either. It is only according to mails that
are sent from within Roundcube.

The solution to the problem is tracked down in this thread:
http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1488311

On Debian, both the backported version of Roundcube 0.5.4 and the
current unstable version 0.7 is packaged to be depended on the PHP Pear
modul Mail_Mime 1.8.0 which is incorrect.

The folloing command solves it on a Debian 6 box:
pear install mail_mime

The following files get changed by this:
/usr/share/php/Mail/mimePart.php
/usr/share/php/.registry/mail_mime.reg
/usr/share/php/.filemap
/usr/share/php/Mail/mime.php

So the backported version, the testing and the unstable version of
Roundcube (roundcube-core) should be packaged with php-mail-mime
version 1.8.2, which is the current latest version of the upstream
Mail_Mime PHP Pear modul.

Dear Developers,

Please update the tomoyo-tools package from version 2.3 to 2.4 to match the
kernel space Tomoyo implementation that has the version 2.4 since kernel 3.1.

Installing tomoyo-tools and booting the system with security=tomoyo therefore
causes a kernel panic saying it's expecting tomoyo userspace tools with version
2.4.

Sid and Wheezy contains the same tomoyo-tools 2.3 currently.

Thanks.

Description : tomoyo learning daemon, fully automatic MAC configuration

Tomld (tomoyo learning daemon) is an extension to the Tomoyo security
framework. Tomoyo increases security by confining applications and services
into domains using rules. Tomld automates this process helping users harden
their systems more easily. To do this tomld starts in learning mode, creates
Tomoyo domains, collects rules, changes them and once the rules appear to be
complete tomld enforces the policy.

Bug#597499: unblock: aaphoto/0.38-2

2010-09-20 Thread Andras Horvath
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org
Usertags: freeze-exception

Please unblock package aaphoto version 0.38-2. This is only a bugfix
relese and i fixed serious problems with this version.

The most important bug is among the multi threading code part. The
colors of the output image may become corrupt when running it with
multiple threads. The single threaded run gives good result.

This is because there is a misconception in my code concerning multi
threading with OpenMP and concurrent threads accessed same variables
and memory and some arrays went uninitialized too. The fix was trivial
though.

There were other bugs in the BMP writer and PNG reader functions too.

I tested this version with a shell script that throws random image
input to my program with random option switches, and check the md5sum
of the output of the single threaded and multi threaded runs, then run
it again with new input values. I kept it running for long and gave it
a massive test with success.

I'd be pleased if you let it go into the frozen testing.

Thanks,
Andras

Bug#410933: alpha: Could not allocate X bytes percpu data

2007-02-14 Thread Andras HORVATH
Package: linux-image-2.6.18-4-alpha-smp

Hello,

linux-image-2.6.18-4-alpha-smp still suffers from Could not allocate X
bytes percpu data when loading modules (for example, xfs, eepro100 and
e100).

I've found this discussion (regarding the previous version,
linux-image-2.6.18-3-alpha-smp):
http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-alpha@lists.debian.org/msg23999.html

where this patch was suggested:
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-kernelm=116593521703170w=2

Could (the|a) fix please be included in the next release please? I'd be
all too happy to go back to distro kernels from self-built ones.

cheers,
Andras

Bug#369517: linux-image-2.6.16-1-alpha-smp: undefined scsi symbols; fails to allocate percpu data

2006-09-19 Thread Andras Horvath
Hi,

FWIW, I managed to compile an SMP kernel (using gcc-4.0 since gcc-4.1 won't
compile it).
I decided to compile scsi disk (and driver etc) support in statically
and found out that some symbols called 'exit' are not found when linking
vmlinux together.

Based on some googling I commented out the module_exit() and the __exit
functions in drivers/scsi/sd.c and that allowed me to link the kernel
together (I figured we won't need it anyway since sd will be statically
compiled in). It boots and works fine now, and both CPUs are happy:)

I believe you know more about how the kernel is linked than I do and I
hope the above may give a clue on what's wrong with the alpha/smp
kernel.

thanks for your help,

Andras

if that's 2.6.17-2 then I'm sorry to report that -smp still doesn't work

Also, shouldn't initramfs give a shell instead of just waiting for the
rootfs to appear magically?

Bug#369517: linux-image-2.6.16-1-alpha-smp: undefined scsi symbols; fails to allocate percpu data

2006-08-08 Thread Andras Horvath
But you get a shell if you use initramfs-tools where you can check why
 it is not there.

no I don't -- not with the default initramfs (it's called initrd but the
kernel claims it's initramfs) nor with the one I built myself.

But! This one is fine:

ii linux-image-2.6.17-1-alpha-generic 2.6.17-5 Linux
kernel 2.6.17 image on Alpha machines

but the -smp is still suffering from the same SCSI problems..

Bug#369517: linux-image-2.6.16-1-alpha-smp: undefined scsi symbols; fails to allocate percpu data

2006-07-18 Thread Andras Horvath
nobse, can you please take a look at this.
Andras, does this still happen with the 2.6.16-17 package?

yes, I've just checked linux-image-2.6.17-1-alpha-smp version 2.6.17-3
and it has the same errors, as if SCSI symbols were missing:

qla1280: Unknown symbol scsi_remove_host
qla1280: Unknown symbol scsi_host_put
qla1280: Unknown symbol scsi_scan_host
qla1280: Unknown symbol scsi_add_host
qla1280: Unknown symbol scsi_adjust_queue_depth
qla1280: Unknown symbol scsi_host_alloc

(same for all the different SCSI drivers)

Thanks for following this up!

2006-07-18 Thread Andras Horvath
Please make sure that scsi_mod is loaded before.

this is during boot - I can't get to my root filesystem without having
any scsi drivers running...

(2.6.15-1-alpha-generic works fine)

Bug#369517: linux-image-2.6.16-1-alpha-smp: undefined scsi symbols; fails to allocate percpu data

2006-05-30 Thread Andras HORVATH
Package: linux-image-2.6.16-1-alpha-smp
Version: 2.6.16-12
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade from the (working) 2.6.15 to (current) 2.6.16 but
some modules fail to load, I get the messages shown below.
Since I can't get to any of my disks (on any controller) the system is
unusable.

I have tried to rebuild dependencies (depmod -a $version) and then
rebuild initramfs but it did not help.
This is an Alphaserver 4100.

any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Andras
