Bug#505153: Combination of Kmail and Klamav duplicates content and corrupts image files

2009-04-29 Thread Andy Goss
Although it seems appears that you can turn off Klamav via the Kmail filters,
in fact this does not prevent it from running, it just means that the
X-Virus-Flag: no line does not prefix the email. Duplication and corruption
are still present.

So I uninstalled Klamav. This fixes both duplication and corruption. It also
ends the freeze that stops Kmail from doing anything while downloading -
there is another bug for this I think.

Bug#505153: Kmail corrupts attachments

2009-04-27 Thread Andy Goss
I am getting corrupt image attachments, but with multiple attachments, not all
of which are corrupted. It seems to be the first few in the list. All are
duplicated as is the body part, and the To: entry. In the example I received
today, we have:

Body part
First image 50 KB
Body part
First image 1.3 MB
Second image27.8 KB
Second image1.1 MB
Third image 107.8 KB
Third image 1.2 MB
Fourth image732.5 KB
Fifth image 667.1 KB
Fourth image732.5 KB (out of sequence)

- and so on, with the sequence broken up.

Only the first and second images have small and large versions. all totally
corrupt and unreadable by anything.

Of the subsequent images, a majority have one version which is OK, the other
being incomplete, or in two cases garbled with other images.

Curiously the Konqueror thumbnails on all but the first two image sets show a
complete image for both versions.

This email contains the header: X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft Exchange V6.5

The headers are also duplicated.

The duplication part of this is not to do with Microsoft, as the email I got
from subscribing to this bug is also duplicated. Though not the To: line.

The Subscription successful email was not duplicated.

I suspect Klamav, as I do not remember having problems until I installed it.
I'll try uninstalling it, as there seems to be no way of turning it off, and
see how we go.

Kmail 1.9.9 KDE 3.5.10, KlamAV 0.44

Bug#459017: News about #459017?

 Furthermore, one can see (./packaging/generic/print-camera-list.c):

So I'd think this bug might be fixed. If you can't wait for 2.4.4-1 in
unstable, you could give a try with 2.4.3-1 (in experimental).

If your problem still isn't fixed, we'll try and debug that together.

 Thanks for your time.

 Mraw,
 KiBi.

This problem seems to be limited to Etch, the camera connects perfectly in
Lenny.

Bug#348427: Toolbar regression: non-existant buttons, in toolbar but not in list, etc.

2008-12-17 Thread Andy Goss
The Save, Save As and Save All functions in the Kate toolbar are for Sessions,
although they have the same icons as for file save in the KatePartView. This is
very confusing.

Bug#348427: Toolbar regression: non-existant buttons, in toolbar but not in list, etc.

2008-12-09 Thread Andy Goss
Package: kate
Version: 2.5.10
OS: Lenny
Severity: Well, I would have thought this important.

1) Toolbar content (Main toolbar KatePartView) is variable from time to time,
sometimes it contains everything I have specified, sometimes not. If I have
several documents open in the same instance of
kate - the only way I use it, one may have all the items, and the others a
reduced set (Main toolbar Kate plus a subset of Main toolbar KatePartView). But
moving between documents changes the
arrangement, and loses icons, until I am back with the reduced set on all
documents.

It seems that the Main toolbar KatePartView comes and goes as it pleases, and
gets promiscuously mixed in with the Main toolbar Kate.

If I add or subtract something on the Main toolbar KatePartView, and apply it,
everything suddenly appears, and in a reasonable sequence. However, as I move
from document to document, they drop
off, until I am left with the reduced set.

2) Toolbar content is in a semi random sequence when the Main toolbar
KatePartView is visible. There is very little relation between what I see and
what the configuration window shows.

3) Save and Save As are available in both toolbars. I did have them specified
in the KatePartView toolbar, but now I have them in the Kate toolbar, as they
seem to persist. Having made a change (to
either bar), on the second document move I find I have two of each. On the
third move they are re-arranged, and by the fourth I am back to one each with
the final reduced set.
