Andreas,

I am trying to use r8168-dkms because my card is not working properly with 
r8168 but the module is never loaded.

I have already manually blacklisted r8169.

dkms is reporting correct installation of r8168 module

$ sudo dkms status
r8168/8.051.02, 6.1.0-13-amd64, x86_64: installed

But on the logs I get the following

this bug is still valid on 5.10.0-20-amd64. I am currently using an external 
usb network card to accesss internet
so bellow information might not be accurate. 

The problematic interface is enp1s0f0

Further troubleshooting reveals that IPv6 is working fine, IPv4 is broken!

sl-modem-daemon is started at boot time and takes over the soundcard

Bug#729994: jitsi: Same problem with external usb webcam

Using $ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libv4l/v4l2convert.so jitsi



returns the following error:

from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.


So since I am on 64-bit I should use

$ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libv4l/v4l2convert.so jitsi


changing i386-linux-gnu to x86_64-linux-gnu I get the option to
select my webcam and video is working perfect!!!
