Bug#770923: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: Clickpad SoftButtons stop working after some clicks
Package: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics Version: 1.8.1-1 Severity: important Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer, I just set up a Lenovo T440p and defined a config file for the soft buttons on the top since they did not work: # /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/thinkpad_clickpad.conf Section InputClass Identifier tp only with clickpad buttons MatchDriver synaptics # Option SoftButtonAreas RBL RBR RBT RBB MBL MBR MBT MBB Option SoftButtonAreas 75% 0 0 35% 52% 75% 0 35% Option HasSecondarySoftButtons off Option AreaBottomEdge 1 #disable moving but not buttons EndSection After that I noticed that the buttons work at first but after a about 30 seconds they stop working. I can't click anything. I reenabled the touchpad (AreaBottomEdge) to see if it makes a difference but it stops working the same moment, even without clicking at that moment. Events are still visible when using evtest. But I can't say if they are correct or something, there are events when pressing the pad and the coordinates appropriate when moving. I would be nice if you could look into it. Bug#664261: nvidia-glx: Crashes and system freezes - still failing
Hi, On 06/03/2012 09:53 PM, Andreas Beckmann wrote: Have you tried the latest drivers? 295.53 in wheezy and sid, 302.11 in experimental thanks for the interest. Currently I am on 295.53-1. I didn't experience the problem recently, but as always with such random problems you cannot be sure. I would count it as solved for now. (Aside from that I have a problem with vdpau and xbmc where it crashes reproducably. And in the latest version (295.53-1) it event got worse, my HDMI TV is not recognized anymore. Package: grub2-splashimages Version: 1.0.1 Severity: minor Hello, first of all, thanks for maintaining the package :) But I found a little problem which mislead me when setting up a different splash screen image for grub. In the package README file it says: 1. How to change default GRUB2 splashimage? Change a line like WALLPAPER=/usr/share/images/... to WALLPAPER=/boot/grub/splashimages/some_file.tga in /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme and run update-grub. But there is no definition of WALLPAPER in that script. Setting it manually didn't have the desired effect either. $ grep WALLPAPER /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme set_background_image ${WALLPAPER} ${COLOR_NORMAL} ${COLOR_HIGHLIGHT} || Instead I found WALLPAPER in /usr/share/desktop-base/grub_background.sh, changing it was a success. Bug#613162: zsh: Loading colors script fails, bad set of key/value pairs
Hi Frank, On 02/13/2011 04:50 PM, Frank Terbeck wrote: Yeah. I was a little quick about this. This only prints the number of key-value pairs in the associative array. What we're actually looking for is this: % print ${#${(kv)color}} In any case, `4' is too low a value. what does this print? % printf '%s = '\''%s'\''\n' ${(kv)color} | sort Not sure if this does what it was inteded to. $ printf '%s = '\''%s'\''\n' ${(kv)color} | sort = '' ' ${(kv)color} | sortnone = '' When I just do the following I get $ print ${(kv)color} none But I think I figured what you wanted. Maybe this? printf '%s = %s\n' ${(kv)color[*]} | sort Anyway. I tried to to do some kind of single step printf debugging after your printf hints and added the files as an attachement. I hope it might be usefull to you, I just see there that the mapping at some point fails, and bg-blue seems to be associated with fg-red. bg-blue = fg-red. Maybe some loop is missing a value and leads to an uneven association. What I did: I added some printfs to the colors function. called $ unset -f colors $ autoload -U colors $ colors and grabbed the ouput. I fear the line numbers are rubbish but you can see the place in the colors file. Thanks, I'll take a look at it when I'm on the train. Godspeed. What exactly does ${(kv)color} access? Is kv a value? Those flags are used to access the keys and values of an associative array: % foo=( bar baz beer booze zack zonk ) % print ${foo[zack]} zonk % print ${(k)foo} zack bar beer % print ${(v)foo} zonk baz booze % print ${(kv)foo} zack zonk bar baz beer booze Thanks for the insight. I get it. The latter is used to initialise $colour (British) with the same values as in $color (American). Bug#536446: kwin: dual screen, mouse's virtual position on wrong screen
Package: kwin Version: 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-6 Severity: normal Hi, sometimes, yes sorry I have no idea when, I get an annoying problem. I have got a setup with monitor A, with a smaller resolution and a larger monitor B using xinerama. ||| | A |xxxv. B| ||. | |- When the problem occures, the mouse is still on the bigger monitor B, but is only movable in an area as big as the smaller monitor A (Marked by x). Additionally the position where a click is performed is not at the display position of the cursor. When I try to move the cursor lefft to monitor A, the cursor jumps into the opposite direction, which is the edge of the currently movable area of the mouse (Marked by the 'v'. It seems like it thinks the edge of monitor A is somewhere in monitor B). Which means it stays on monitor B. I can only move the cursor to monitor A if I manage to click focus a window on that monitor. After that the behavior seems to be normal again. Hope you can see what I mean - I would love to add a video but it can't quite reproduce it. I filed it as kwin but might also be a xfree problem. Thanks for your time. Bug#295506: zsh: End-key changes case of several characters insted of going to eol
Package: zsh Version: 4.2.4-2 Severity: important Hi, I am not absolutely shure if the source of problem is zsh but since it is reproducable on several terminals and the problem doesn't exist with bash, I decided to tell you about it. I type e.g. 'gvim .trosmo' and use the Arrow keys to move back to the beginning of the string and then hit the 'End'-key to jump at the end of the line it results in: 'GVIM .TRosmo'. And the Backspace key doesn't work anymore. It just moves the curser one to the left without removing a character. Numbers remain numbers. Some examples: '11eee111'becomes '11EEE111' 'abcdefghijk' becomes 'ABCDEFGHijk' 'abCDefghijk' becomes 'ABcdEFGHijk' Independent from that the 'Insert'-key makes lower-case characters to upper-case and vice versa. This is reproducable in aterm and also in Eterm, in xterm only the 'Insert'-key is does the upper/lowercase thing. On Linux vitrual terminal 'End' workes as expected but 'Insert' produces a tilde. Term settings are: aterm TERM=rxvt Eterm TERM=Eterm xterm TERM=xterm vt TERM=linux Since I use End and Home really a lot, it makes working with zsh quite hard for me. Please tell me if you need more information or wether it is a problem of a different program or even my own. Thank you.
