In the attachment you'll find the output of the commands I've entered,redirected to a file,ordered in the correct sequence: 1) autogen.sh output - 1Autogen.txt; 2) configure output - 2Configure.txt; 3) make output - 3Make.txt A note regarding the last two file: 4aCheckinstall.txt is a copy of the prompts translated to English (mine is partially in Italian); 4bCheckinstall.txt is the output of Checkinstall launched as root. Hi,I'm sorry to bother you and I hope I'm doing this the right way, I noticed some time ago that a new version of Tesseract was available on the website and I tried to compile myself the latest version taken from svn some days ago,using checkinstall and auto-apt,on my laptop with Squeeze. As far as I can tell,also according to the issue page on the official website, this problem seems to be solved. If you want I can provide my compile log for reference.
