Bug#609008: plymouth-drm should not depend on all libdrm-(intel1|nouveau1|radeon1) at the same time

2011-01-05 Thread Cassiano Leal
Package: plymouth-drm
Version: 0.8.3-18
Severity: normal
Tags: sid

The package plymouth-drm depends simultaneously on libdrm-intel1,
libdrm-nouveau1 and libdrm-radeon1.

I understand that having DRM is a requirement for this package, but I
will never have all three GPUs installed on any computer at the same
time.

This package should depend on *at leas one* of the three, not on *all*
of them, IMO.

up. It says only Network Management disabled in greyed-out

worked fine before I had to do a hard restart on my laptop.

Could you please attach the file /var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state

After that, please remove that file and restart network-manager (service
network-manager restart) and see if that helps.

Same happened to me several times. My work around was to install
network-manager-gnome and, when needed, kill knetworkmanager, start
nm-applet and select Enable Networking from there.

Bug#561476: Hint to a solution

2010-03-25 Thread Cassiano Leal
Seems that these guys have found a working solution for this bug, but
I don't even know what distro they're using -
http://old.nabble.com/Kernel-2.6.32-and-Radeon-KMS-td26656284.html

Would it be possible to implement it in Debian?

If needed, I could help on testing if someone could guide me on how to
apply this solution to a Debian system (I don't really understand what
all those mkinitcpio and other esoteric commands do).

Thanks!

Where am I doing wrong? Here's my process:

The problem actually lies in pulseaudio-module-zeroconf 0.9.10-3. This
version requires libpulsecore5, but 0.9.13-2 doesn't.

So, I guess the incompatibility is between any package that requires
libpulsecore8 and pulseaudio-module-zeroconf 0.9.13-2 ?

Bug#483728: extragear-plasma: folder view plasmoid errors when launching a file

2008-05-30 Thread Cassiano Leal
Package: extragear-plasma
Version: 4:4.0.80-1
Severity: important

I have a Folder View plasmoid pointing to ~/Desktop. Whenever I click a
file to open it in an editor, the following message is shown in a
warning box:

KLauncher could not be reached via D-Bus. Error when calling
start_service_by_desktop_path:
empty

The editor opens normally, but I have to first find the warning and
click OK before I can proceed doing things. This is specially annoying
when I am in dashboard mode and the warning is hidden away.

Bug#482888: /usr/bin/plasma: Panel crashes when redrawing after removing widget

2008-05-25 Thread Cassiano Leal
Package: kdebase-workspace-bin
Version: 4:4.0.72-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/plasma

I am running KDE4 from experimental on top of a Lenny install.

I have added the Wastebin widget to the panel. Having not liked the
place where it was put (to the right of the clock) and having not found
out how to just move it, I decided to actually remove it. All went well
but the redrawing of the tray and the clock. They got one on top of the
other and the place where the wastebin was was now a blank unused space.

When I opened a new window (by selecting to delete some files from
within Dolphin), the panel crashed.

Attached is the backtrace.

Bug#482457: evolution on KDE 4.1 (experimental) segfaults

2008-05-23 Thread Cassiano Leal

  Hiya Cassiano :)

Since the segfault occurs in the experimental KDE I would say that is
where the problem is at, as well.

I have a hard time figuring out why this should segfault this way. As far as
 I
know, evolution is a gtk app, which is why I have absolutely no idea why it
is running code to draw qt widgets.

Is there gtk-qt4-engine involved in anyway? (If yes, then try disable it)

Yes, it is. Disabling it solves the problem. Should the bug be moved to
gtk-qt4-engine? If so, how to do it?

Getting a full backtrace would also be interesting.

Any help on how to get one?

I'm not familiar enough with KDE to say where the problem lies, but
OxygenStyle::drawKStylePrimitive sounds like the Oxygen icon-theme, so
  forwarding there for now.

KDE-guys, let us know if I am wrong here ;)

You are definately wrong about reassigning to icon package. it is only icons
and they can't segfault themselves. Reassigning so far to kdebase-runtime
where code for oxygen widget style is located.

  Cheers,
  Heikki

Bug#480201: evolution-data-server: cpu goes 100% when consulting an ldap directory

2008-05-08 Thread Cassiano Leal
Package: evolution-data-server
Version: 2.22.1-1
Severity: important

evolution-data-server makes the CPU go 100% at random times. the problem
seems to be related to a query on the LDAP server.

I have attached gdb to the process and got the trace below.

While gdb is running, the CPU goes down to normal. After quitting, it goes back
to 100%.
