Bug#609008: plymouth-drm should not depend on all libdrm-(intel1|nouveau1|radeon1) at the same time
Package: plymouth-drm Version: 0.8.3-18 Severity: normal Tags: sid The package plymouth-drm depends simultaneously on libdrm-intel1, libdrm-nouveau1 and libdrm-radeon1. It says only Network Management disabled in greyed-out letters. I have Network Manager chosed in the KDE settings and it worked fine before I had to do a hard restart on my laptop. Could you please attach the file /var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state After that, please remove that file and restart network-manager (service network-manager restart) and see if that helps. Same happened to me several times. My work around was to install network-manager-gnome and, when needed, kill knetworkmanager, start nm-applet and select Enable Networking from there. Bug#561476: Hint to a solution
Seems that these guys have found a working solution for this bug, but I don't even know what distro they're using - http://old.nabble.com/Kernel-2.6.32-and-Radeon-KMS-td26656284.html Would it be possible to implement it in Debian? If needed, I could help on testing if someone could guide me on how to apply this solution to a Debian system (I don't really understand what all those mkinitcpio and other esoteric commands do). Bug#482888: /usr/bin/plasma: Panel crashes when redrawing after removing widget
Package: kdebase-workspace-bin Version: 4:4.0.72-1 Severity: normal File: /usr/bin/plasma I am running KDE4 from experimental on top of a Lenny install. I have added the Wastebin widget to the panel. Having not liked the place where it was put (to the right of the clock) and having not found out how to just move it, I decided to actually remove it. All went well but the redrawing of the tray and the clock. They got one on top of the other and the place where the wastebin was was now a blank unused space. When I opened a new window (by selecting to delete some files from within Dolphin), the panel crashed. Bug#482457: evolution on KDE 4.1 (experimental) segfaults
On Fri, 2008-05-23 at 10:19 +0200, Sune Vuorela wrote: reassign 482457 kdebase-runtime 4:4.0.74-1 thanks tags 482457 + experimental Hiya Cassiano :) Since the segfault occurs in the experimental KDE I would say that is where the problem is at, as well. I have a hard time figuring out why this should segfault this way. As far as I know, evolution is a gtk app, which is why I have absolutely no idea why it is running code to draw qt widgets. Is there gtk-qt4-engine involved in anyway? (If yes, then try disable it) Yes, it is. Disabling it solves the problem. Should the bug be moved to gtk-qt4-engine? If so, how to do it? Getting a full backtrace would also be interesting. Any help on how to get one? I'm not familiar enough with KDE to say where the problem lies, but OxygenStyle::drawKStylePrimitive sounds like the Oxygen icon-theme, so forwarding there for now. KDE-guys, let us know if I am wrong here ;) You are definately wrong about reassigning to icon package. it is only icons and they can't segfault themselves. Reassigning so far to kdebase-runtime where code for oxygen widget style is located.
