Package: rxvt-unicode
Version: 9.09-1
Severity: normal
Hello,
After a system update with aptitude, I did not manage to get
pseudo-transparency with urxvt (the -tr option). As a consequence,
using the -tint option has no effect, as Fabien Millioz said.
I tried to install the rxvt-unicode
to go to the previous page
- maximize the window
- get rid of the menu at the left
- select fit width
- scroll down until it segfaults.
I am running a box with debian unstable for i386.
Regards.
Christophe Mouilleron.

Hi,
This seems to be the same bug as in #512381 and #464753 (and probably
others).
Regards.

Hi,
I suggest the patch (in attachment) to correct this bug.
I am note quiet sure that this is the right way to do things,
but I didn't see any strange thing after some tests.
Hope this will help.
Christophe Mouilleron.
PS : if this patch is ok, it may be useful for #512381 also.

I have modified libswmhack.so to try loading the versioned library if

confirm it works with both libx11-dev and libxt-dev uninstalled?
Cheers.

I've added a bunch of assert()s to check the return value of all the
functions called in XtAppNextEvent().
Please try the package at[1] and let me know if you hit any of the
assert()s, or if it fails during one of the calls.
All works well with this version. I can run xterm via dmenu, and then
run vim while LD_PRELOAD is set.
