Hi

I got the sources and made a new package (20100908), finding some
problems with this sources. What i did was only a apt-get source
ia32-libs-gtk and apt-get build-deb ia32-libs-gtk. After, with a
final pkg, i saw that libpcre3 files was in /lib and not in /lib32,
generating a conflict with libpcre3 pkg (amd64).

So, i added more one line in the rules file.

I have iceowl-extension installed in my icedove without translation.
When i tried to find why, i remembered about the l10n package.

When tried to install the iceowl-l10n-pt-br, show the dependence with
iceowl.

I understand that the dependence of iceowl-l10n-pt-br is iceowl *OR*
iceowl-extension. I wish not to install the iceowl (as standalone

Bug#568416: Put in upstream (Was: Re: 64-bit kernel/32-bit userland boot failure)

Hash: SHA1

Hi

I am a newbie debian user, that some times play (or try) to compile the
kernel and when i saw this bug, i tried some times to build a pkg based
in the vanilla 2.6.32.8.

As i have a macbook v2, with gpu Intel 945GM, i saw many errors in the X
and not understand why?!... Looking the changelog, i saw some bugs about
the i915 driver (apg, drm, etc), present in the diff, but not in the
vanilla code.

So, my question is if are bugs in kernel, why this patches aren't
present in the next vanilla pkg at kernel.org?

Please, i ask because i really wish to understand if we have some
problem @ kernel.org.

Best regards and congratulations by this big job!

Bug#544864: [xserver-xorg-video-intel] And your framebuffer driver is intelfb?

2009-09-25 Thread Claudio F Filho
Em 25-09-2009 10:45, Julien Cristau escreveu:
I don't understand what this report is about. It would be nice if you
 could explain it more clearly.

Sorry, Julien. I will try explain better.

This bug can be a problem between the frame buffer driver and the X
driver (if this is possible).

The problem related in this bug is similar at my computer. Since the
version 2:2.8.1-1 of xserver-xorg-video-intel that my X freeze and,
systematicly, i returned to version 2:2.3.2-2+lenny6, downgrading this
package and all depends. I got the same situation with the version
2:2.8.1-2.

Today, i remember of framebuffer driver. In my grub, i have configured
with options vga=792 splash, that force the console to 1024x768 (in
text mode). So, is possible some conflict between the vesafb (the driver
loaded) and the X intel driver.

Looking this situation, i tried a change in my menu.lst, changing the
vga=792 splash to video=intelfb. Result that i haven't the
graphical console (stay in 80x40 text mode) and without the splash,
but i got the kdm perfectly!

So, my suggest was to try the last driver of X (pkg
xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.8.1-2) with this change in him(your?)
initialization.

For me, it is ok.

Best regards
Claudio

I found in the bugzilla of KDE the same problem at bug 198768[1].

And, as suggested by Johann-Nikolaus Andreae[2], i killed the lancelot
and the problem finished.

So, i think that the problem is kopete + lancelot together.

2009-01-30 Thread Claudio F Filho
Package: compiz
Version: 0.7.6-7
Severity: serious

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Hi

I am using KDE 4.x and Debian Sid. I tried get some effects and could
change by compiz, but when tried to change got a error: a white screen.

I sent this doubt to debian-kde list, and others people reported the
same problem. But how we are using kde4 (experimental), was common the
idea that maybe is a problem of kde. Also tried with XFCE, and return
the same error. I tried the experimental pkgs of x.org too, with same
result.

I think that is a problem in debian pgks, because tried with [k]ubuntu,
and works fine.

I have a video card intel 945GM. My xorg.conf is in attach.

Bug#479854: Old packages

2008-07-16 Thread Claudio F Filho
Before, the package 0.94 works fine, but Alexander Sack removed from him
page[1] this package.

Today, we are without a way to install enigmail in iceape x86_64. In
i386, is possible to use the xpi in enigmail page.

Bug#423239: More tests

2008-05-30 Thread Claudio F Filho

Hi

I downloaded yesterday the debian-installer netinstall beta3[1] and
tested the boot. The problem with Grub (apparently) is resolved.

I think that this bug can be closed.

Bug#482860: grub2: Grub doesn't detect macbook's (core 2 duo) keyboard

2008-05-25 Thread Claudio F Filho
Package: grub2
Severity: normal

This is a clone of bug #423239[1] of grub for Macbooks C2D. When try to boot
with grub2, i
can't to change in boot time. If i need to boot with other kernel, or with
especial args, i
need to do in grub.cfg, install and reboot.
This happens because the keyboard receive only one key and freeze. If i wish to
change the
kernel in grub, i press the keydown and the grub not receive more keys (like a
ENTER to
continue).
[1]http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=423239

I read in report of #423239 that with Mepis works fine and tried it. Really,
works fine,
but i not know what work was made.

I tried with grub-pc and grub-efi. The same problem.

to migrate this package to unstable repo?

Bug#347941: Problem with Cedilla(ç) in KDE to pt-BR.UTF-8

2006-01-13 Thread Claudio F Filho
Package: kdebase
Version: 3.5.0

When i configure my locale to pt_BR.UTF-8, the character cedilla(ç), a
combination of acute + c (' + c), return ć. If i set my locale to
pt_BR(.ISO-8859-1), this combination of acute more c return ç, that is
the correct.

Asking to friends that use other distributions, like fedora and
mandriva, they haven't problems like this. In freeBSD, other friend made
a patch, avaliable in:
http://spuk.ueberalles.net/patch-nls-pt_BR

My machine is a debian sid, kernel 2.6.15-1-686, xorg 6.9, kde 3.5.0,
libc6 2.3.5 and locales 2.3.5 too.

Thanks in advanced

Claudio
