Bug#975989: libsdl2: Enable HIDAPI joystick drivers

2020-11-27 Thread Elia Argentieri
Package: libsdl2-2.0-0
Version: 2.0.12+dfsg1-4
Severity: normal
File: libsdl2

SDL 2.0.12 added support for low level joystick drivers, that allows to use the
"Official GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U" without external drivers for
example.
Just pass --enable-hidapi to configure and add relative dependencies to the
package.

See https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/67174 for more details.

Thanks.

Bug#905470: 0ad: Alpha 23 Lobby lag and other multiplayer issues

2018-08-04 Thread Elia Argentieri
Package: 0ad
Version: 0.0.23-1+b1
Severity: normal

Dear maintainer,

it looks like upstream made a "lobby lag" release fix.
I had this problem with the multiplayer lobby, so I looked at the svn history
and I found this:
 https://code.wildfiregames.com/D1518

Please consider adding this fixes to Debian's 0ad package.

No, it's not needed. It works without that too.

Sorry, I forgot to reply.

Thanks again.

Bug#867692: apparmor-profiles-extra: Totem can't open any video

2017-07-23 Thread Elia Argentieri
Oh... Now I know where the problem is... it's not that it can't play
any video, it's that all my videos are on another hard disk! I can't
keep all my videos on my SSD so, my Video folder is a symlink to a
folder on my traditional hard disk. So I guess I'll have to grant totem
the ability to read on my hard disk.

However, for the other errors, I'm using Debian testing updated, I
tried on X.org and GNOME + Wayland and the results are the same. I do
have gnome-nightly applications installed via flatpak, because Debian
is slow at packaging GNOME 3.24.

I added this line to /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.bin.totem:
>   owner @{HOME}/.cache/mesa/** rwk,
because otherwise it errors on many other files in that folder. That
fixed the mesa cache problem.

Then I added this line to /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.bin.totem:
>   /var/lib/flatpak/exports/share/icons/** r,
and that solved all errors. I can now open videos on my home with a
clean audit.log.

Thanks.

It seems to block mesa cache too. Maybe that should be added to an abstraction.

I am, rockspec might be wrong. See https://github.com/brunoos/luasec,
it says "Lua 5.2 and 5.3 compatibility", but no lua 5.1 is mentioned.

Bug#842906: lua-sec 0.6 is not compatible with lua 5.1

2016-11-04 Thread Elia Argentieri
lua-sec 0.6 is not compatible with lua 5.1 and Prosody 0.9.10 runs with
lua 5.1.

We have two possibilities: make two packages lua5.1-sec=0.5.1 and
lua5.2-sec=0.6 to maintain compatibility with prosody 0.9.10, or
package Prosody 0.9.11 which contains "Workaround for compatibility
with LuaSec 0.6" [1].

Bug#830679: SSL Perl5 warnings

2016-07-10 Thread Elia Argentieri
Package: sendxmpp
Version: 1.23-1.1
Severity: minor

Dear maintainer,

senxmpp with -t option always spit this annoying message:

Odd number of elements in anonymous hash at
/usr/share/perl5/IO/Sock et/SSL.pm line 1444. Use of
uninitialized value within @_ in anonymous hash ({}) at
/usr/
share/perl5/IO/Socket/SSL.pm line 1444.

Everything works as expected. I use sendxmpp in a daily cron script
so I receive a mail every day with this message. I'll have to silence it.

Bug#811170: mumble: Hang at startup

2016-01-16 Thread Elia Argentieri
Package: mumble
Version: 1.2.12-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

when I start mumble it takes a very long time to show the main window or even
something in the terminal. It just hangs there for a long time like 1 or 2
minutes until it shows up and works correctly.

Since it didn't say anything useful by its own, I run it with gdb and attached
the log.

It seems thread 2 is stuck at a mutex in pulseaudio's code.
Perhaps this has to do with recent system updates?

Regards,
EA

Bug#809547: livestreamer: Python error

2016-01-01 Thread Elia Argentieri
I fixed this issue that I had from another package by installing
python-requests from unstable.

Just run sudo apt install -t unstable python-requests. I guess this
issue will be fixed when that package comes to testing.

Bug#783768: RFP: wiican -- Wiican assists to setup your wiimote under GNU/Linux, create and share mappings.

2015-04-29 Thread Elia Argentieri
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: wiican
  Version : 0.3.4.1
Upstream Author : J. Félix Ontañón
* URL : https://launchpad.net/wiican
* License : GPL v3
  Programming Lang: Python
Description : Wiican assists to setup your wiimote under GNU/Linux,
create and share mappings.

Wiican acts as a sytem tray icon. Programmed in python, it connects to udev and
bluez via dbus for tracking the available bluetooth devices and wiimote
connection status.

On backend it's wminput , the cwiid event driver for wiimote. Wiican uses
wminput and wminput configuration files for define and use mappings.

Features:
Discover if everything it's ok for connecting wiimote.
Notify the state of wiimote usaging.
User-defined mappings creation, edition and share assistant.
D-Bus API to manage the wiimote connections programatically

Source code is available as a GNOME git repository:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/wiican.

Ubuntu has already packaged wiican. I hope I will be able to enjoy it on Debian
too.

Thank You!

Bug#779023: python-pygame: VIDEORESIZE odd behaviour

2015-02-23 Thread Elia Argentieri
Package: python-pygame
Version: 1.9.1release+dfsg-10+b1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

I took this example [1] from the pygame wiki, but when I try to resize the
window, it begins to change its size randomly. Sometimes it becomes bigger,
sometimes smaller. It is totally out of control. I tried both python-pygame
from testing and python3-pygame from experimental.
A friend of mine reports that on windows it works as intended, so it might be a
Debian issue?
