Bug#658547: drupal6: file.inc and unicode.inc using deprecated ereg() and ereg_replace()

2012-02-03 Thread Elizabeth Krumbach
Package: drupal6
Version: 6.18-1squeeze1
Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***

The deprecated (in PHP 5.3) functions ereg() and ereg_replace are still being
used by some Drupal files:

~$ grep ereg /usr/share/drupal6/includes/*
/usr/share/drupal6/includes/file.inc:$regex = '/\.('. ereg_replace(' +',
'|', preg_quote($extensions)) .')$/i';
/usr/share/drupal6/includes/file.inc:elseif ($depth = $min_depth
ereg($mask, $file)) {
/usr/share/drupal6/includes/unicode.inc:  if (!$bom
ereg('^\?xml[^]+encoding=([^]+)', $data, $match)) {
/usr/share/drupal6/includes/unicode.inc:  $data =
ereg_replace('^(\?xml[^]+encoding)=([^]+)', '\\1=utf-8', $out);

Found because www-data is having messages sent to it by cron:

bDeprecated/b: Function ereg() is deprecated in
b/usr/share/drupal6/includes/file.inc/b on line b926/bbr /
br /

Thank you.

Bug#442364: This package is not in Debian ?

It needs to be reviewed to make sure it's the current version (may
need to be updated), confirm it passes lintian checks still and then
uploaded to Debian, Stephanie and I just haven't had time.

You can find the current unreleased package in the php-pear section of
Debian's SVN, which you can view here:

Bug#585088: O: webcalendar -- PHP-Based multi-user calendar

2010-06-08 Thread Elizabeth Krumbach
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Orphaning this package. It has been a challenge to maintain in
general, with a lot of open bugs upstream, and while 2 CVEs were
closed recently by a new upstream release, it has an open CVE which
upstream has been unresponsive about[0] (also see the open RC bug,
which caused the removal from testing:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=572557).

[0]
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=2970095group_id=3870atid=103870

Adopters welcome, it's currently in git collab-maint:

http://git.debian.org/?p=collab-maint/webcalendar.git

Package information:

 WebCalendar is a PHP-based calendar application that can be configured
 as a single-user calendar, a multi-user calendar for groups of users,
 or as an event calendar viewable by visitors, it also supports
 authentication via LDAP. It requires either MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite3,
 Oracle, DB2, Interbase, or ODBC.

Bug#572557: CVE-2010-0636 / CVE-2010-0637

 So, apparently upstream declares that 2 out of 3 issues (636 and 638)
 are pending, while they have not commented at all on 637.  Elizabeth,
 are you going to check pick the 2 fixes? How about the third one? The
 time for Squeeze freeze is ticking out, and I'll be inclined to propose
 a removal from testing (as a simple DD) if this doesn't get fixed, what
 is your take? (note that anyhow, if it will get fixed in Squeeze time it
 can enter back testing rather easily)

Paul (new co-maintainer) and I spoke yesterday when the upstream bugs
were updated and we're looking to get at least the two checked in
patches integrated ASAP. Still working with upstream on the third.

Thanks for your attention.

Removed Raphael and added a new co-maintainer, fix committed to Git to
