Bug#819703: my suggestion: change de message
I would like to suggest the change of the annoying message. alter "This version of XScreenSaver is very old! Please upgrade!" to "This version of XScreenSaver is very old! Please don't send bugreports!" and I prefer to see this message in debconf, not in every login.
Bug#802685: typo in short description - "X.org inputproto proto module"
Package: x11proto-input-dev Version: 2.3.1-1 in the short description (that is shown in apt-cache show x11proto-input-dev) there is the following line: This package is built from the X.org inputproto proto module. I think that the correct phrase should be: This package is built from the X.org input proto module. Fred

For example, the output sqlite user1 PERMANENT appears that way: lite user1 PERMANENT If I click run several times, the old outputs correct, but the newer appears truncated. if I select the output, with mouse, backwards, when I reach the start of the string, the hidden two first characters appears. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (100, 'testing'), (95, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=pt_BR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages grass depends on: ii gnome-terminal [x-termi 2.30.2-1 The GNOME terminal emulator applic ii lesstif2 1:0.95.2-1 OSF/Motif 2.1 implementation relea ii libc6 2.11.2-11 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcairo2 1.8.10-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libfftw3-3 3.2.2-1 library for computing Fast Fourier ii libfontconfig1 2.8.0-2.1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.4.4-1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.5.2-4 GCC support library ii libgdal1-1.6.0 1.6.3-4+b1 Geospatial Data Abstraction Librar ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1 7.7.1-4 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libglu1-mesa [libglu1] 7.7.1-4 The OpenGL utility library (GLU) ii libice6 2:1.0.7-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libmysqlclient16 5.1.49-3 MySQL database client library ii libncurses5 5.7+20100313-5 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libpng12-0 1.2.44-1 PNG library - runtime ii libpq5 9.0.3-1 PostgreSQL C client library ii libproj0 4.7.0-1 Cartographic projection library ii libpython2.6 2.6.6-8+b1 Shared Python runtime library (ver ii libreadline6 6.1-3 GNU readline and history libraries ii libsm6 2:1.2.0-1 X11 Session Management library ii libsqlite3-0 3.7.5-1 SQLite 3 shared library ii libstdc++6 4.5.2-4 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libtiff4 3.9.4-7 Tag Image File Format (TIFF) libra ii libwxbase2.8-0 2.8.10.1-3+b1 wxBase library (runtime) - non-GUI ii libwxgtk2.8-0 2.8.10.1-3+b1 wxWidgets Cross-platform C++ GUI t ii libx11-6 2:1.4.1-5 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.2.0-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxmu6 2:1.1.0-1 X11 miscellaneous utility library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.6-1 X Rendering Extension client libra ii libxt6 1:1.1.1-1 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii tcl8.4 8.4.19-4 Tcl (the Tool Command Language) v8 ii tk8.4 8.4.19-4 Tk toolkit for Tcl and X11, v8.4 - ii unixodbc 2.2.14p2-2 ODBC tools libraries ii xterm [x-terminal-emula 269-1 X terminal emulator ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime Versions of packages grass recommends: ii ghostscript 9.01~dfsg-2 interpreter for the PostScript lan ii python 2.6.6-3+squeeze6 interactive high-level object-orie ii python-numpy 1:1.4.1-5 Numerical Python adds a fast array Versions of packages grass suggests: pn avce00 none (no description available) pn e00compr none (no description available) ii gdal-bin 1.7.3-2 Geospatial Data Abstraction Librar pn gnuplot none (no description available) ii gpsbabel 1.4.2-2 GPS file conversion plus transfer ii gpstrans 0.41-3 communicate with a Garmin Global P ii grass-doc 6.4.0-2 Geographic Resources Analysis Supp ii netpbm 2:10.0-12.2+b1 Graphics conversion tools between ii proj-bin 4.7.0-1 Cartographic projection library (t ii python-opengl 3.0.1~b2-1 Python bindings to OpenGL ii python-wxgtk2.8 2.8.10.1-3+b1 wxWidgets Cross-platform C++ GUI t ii wget 1.12-2.1 retrieves files from the web pn xml2 none (no description available) -- no debconf information
Bug#594754: texlive-metapost-doc: file doesn't compile using mpost command
Package: texlive-metapost-doc Version: 2009-10 Severity: normal File: /usr/share/doc/texlive-metapost-doc/metapost/automata/example.mp I'm trying to compile some third part mp-files and find some trouble when the figures have btex ... etex tags. So I look for some advice in documentation and find an example file with btex ... etex tags. So I try to compile this with mpost, and this happens: $ mpost example.mp This is MetaPost, version 1.208 (kpathsea version 5.0.0) (./example.mp (/usr/share/texmf-texlive/metapost/automata/automata.mp)fatal: Command failed: etex --parse-first-line --interaction=nonstopmode mp056721.tex; see mpxerr.log example.mp example.mpx ! Unable to make mpx file. l.29 node.a[4][0](btex $s_0$ etex); Transcript written on example.log. It is the same error that I'm finding with my figures. i noticed that if the figure doesn't have btex ... etex tags, the compilation finishes ok. I'm not quite sure if that bug should be opened to that file or to texlive-binaries (the package that has the /usr/bin/mpost command). -- Package-specific info: If you report an error when running one of the TeX-related binaries (latex, pdftex, metafont,...), or if the bug is related to bad or wrong output, please include a MINIMAL example input file that produces the error in your report. Don't forget to also include minimal examples of other files that are needed, e.g. bibtex databases. Often it also helps to include the logfile. Please, never send included pictures! If your example file isn't short or produces more than one page of output (except when multiple pages are needed to show the problem), you can probably minimize it further. Instructions on how to do that can be found at http://www.latex-einfuehrung.de/mini-en.html (english) or http://www.latex-einfuehrung.de/mini.html (german) ## minimal input file /usr/share/doc/texlive-metapost-doc/metapost/automata/example.mp ## other files ## List of ls-R files -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1289 Ago 15 02:43 /var/lib/texmf/ls-R -rw-rw-r-- 1 root staff 80 Ago 15 02:43 /usr/local/share/texmf/ls-R lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 Ago 12 08:08 /usr/share/texmf/ls-R - /var/lib/texmf/ls-R-TEXMFMAIN lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 Ago 12 08:08 /usr/share/texmf-texlive/ls-R - /var/lib/texmf/ls-R-TEXLIVE lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 Ago 12 08:08 /usr/share/texmf-texlive/ls-R - /var/lib/texmf/ls-R-TEXLIVE ## Config files
