Bug#885422: cabal-install: Missing C libraries

2017-12-26 Thread Frederic-Emmanuel Picca
Package: cabal-install
Version: 1.24.0.1-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I tryed to build a projet with cabal on stretch.
That think was working on jessie but now, I get an error
message like this during the configuration.

:~/hkl/contrib/haskell$ cabal configure
Resolving dependencies...
Configuring hkl-0.1.0.0...
cabal: Missing dependencies on foreign libraries:
* Missing C libraries: hkl, gsl
This problem can usually be solved by installing the system packages that
provide these libraries (you may need the "-dev" versions). If the libraries
are already installed but in a non-standard location then you can use the
flags --extra-include-dirs= and --extra-lib-dirs= to specify where they are.

the dependency is defined via pkgconfig-depends: hkl

Indeed the C library was installed with the libhkl-dev package and it was
working on jessie.

thanks for your help

So is it possible for you to rebuild pyqwt5 with the current python-qt4.
I already did it on my machine and it seems ok as explained on the #647210 bug.

It would be nice also to close #622869 which was also fixed by the previsou
rebuilt.
This bug block the migration of pyqwt5 into testing.

This code checks if a known bug in some PyQwt versions affects your installation.
Simply run this script and see the diagnosis in the std output.

If you are affected, the solution is to install/compile a newer version of PyQwt/SIP

Notably, the python-qwt5-qt4 package originally shipped with
Ubuntu 10.10 is affected

In some systems, the bug produces a segfault while in some others it
produces an Assertion error similar to the following:
python: /build/buildd/sip4-qt3-4.10.5/siplib/siplib.c:2600: sip_api_parse_result: Assertion `assign_helper != ((void *)0)' failed.

Bug#603553: dh_compress: please do not compress javascript files in the doc dir

2010-11-15 Thread Frederic-Emmanuel PICCA
Package: debhelper
Version: 8.0.0
Severity: wishlist

   Hello

usually the documentation generated with python-sphinx add a few javascript
files to the documentation. Thoses files are usefull for the search engine of
the documentation. The problem is that thoses files are most of the time
bigger
than 4k and thus are compressed by the dh_compress utility. This compression
is a problem, because, the html file refering thoses javascript files use the
   non compressed name.

As more and more python package are using sphinx for there documentation, it
would be nice to avoid overriding the dh_compress command for all those
packages.
So adding an exception for the .js files in the documentation directory
would be nice.

   thanks

Hello

I tryed to import all the current *.dsc of the lisaac package from the
debian repository.
In fact version 0.84 and 1:0.13.1
But the order done by import-dscs was in a wrong order.
It first import the 0.13.1 version before the 0.84.

This is wrong.

Bug#425846: bouml: Remove all the plugout sources from the binary package

2007-05-24 Thread Frederic-Emmanuel PICCA
Package: bouml
Version: 2.25-2

Hello

As bouml do not request the source of all the plugout to run, is it possible to
remove them from
the binary package and to put them in for example the example directory of the
documentation
/usr/share/doc/bouml/example. That way it could save some bytes on the debian
archives.

What do you think about this ?

Description : TANGO is an object oriented distributed control system
using CORBA

TANGO is an object oriented distributed control system using CORBA.
 .
In TANGO all objects are representations of devices. The devices can
be on the same computer or distributed over a number of computers
interconnected by a network. Communication inter devices is done using
CORBA and can be synchronous, asynchronous or event driven.
 .
The object model in TANGO supports methods, attributes and properties.
TANGO provides an API which hides all the details of network access and
provides object browsing, discovery and security features.
 .
Permanent data is stored in a Mysql database.
 .
TANGO is being actively developed as a collaborative effort between the
 ESRF (www.esrf.eu), Soleil (synchrotron-soleil.fr), Alba (www.cells.es)
 and Elettra institutes (www.elettra.trieste.it).

Bug#390676: scribus-ng: Add a preview for daltonian

2006-10-02 Thread Frederic-Emmanuel PICCA
Package: scribus-ng
Version: 1.3.3.3.dfsg-2
Severity: wishlist

Hello

In the color circle, a very nice feature is present to show
non-daltonian peoples how a daltonian one can see the contrast between
colors.

It would be very nice to have this feature in the preview mode.
It would help a lot non-daltonians to write daltonian friendly documents.

Tanks for this great software.

I am using your library, and it will be easier for me to setup my

pkg-config is a sort of standard push by freedesktop to configure in a
standard way packages. So it would be nice to create that .pc file and
to forward it to the mainstream authors.

Is there a special policy to configure a program linked with python

maybe a /usr/lib/pkgconfig/python.pc - /usr/lib/pkgconfig/python2.3.pc

Package: gtkmm2.4
Severity: important

Hello

I have juste realize that gtkmm2.4 is in fact

witch is a real gtkmm2.4.

Don't you think ?

Have a nice day.

Bug#335643: nautilus: do not close a directory window when putting the directory into the trash

2005-10-25 Thread Frederic-Emmanuel PICCA
Package: nautilus
Version: 2.10.1-5
Severity: minor

Hello

To reporduce the bug.
open a directory.
Now open a directory from the previouos one.

You must have 2 windows open.
From the first one select the already open directory and press Delete.
The directory goes to the trash but the window (n°2) remanes open.

I think it is a problem even if the directory is just move to the trash.
We ask for the deletion so all windows related to this directory must
be closed at least to avoid copying other files to one one thoses directory.
Then
loosing these files when emptying the trash.

Bug#331417: mediawiki: Please add some doc about the wiki syntax

2005-10-03 Thread Frederic-Emmanuel PICCA
Package: mediawiki
Version: 1.4.10-1
Severity: wishlist

I have just install your package. It works great if you do that:

http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Running_MediaWiki_on_Debian_GNU/Linux

and not forgot to remove the cache of your browser if you did not want
to download the application/x-httpd-php files.

so it would be great to add a sumerize of the previous webpage in the
Debian Readme

My point is that I put user in front of the wiki and the first time
they want to edit a page they did not know about the wiki syntax.
Their reflex were to clic on the Editing help link at the bottom of
the edit page but their is nothing to look at.

the default behaviour whould be to obtain the wiki syntax here.

what do you think about this ?

Hello

I am using a ricoh Aficio 1035 with the pxlmono driver.
The postscript driver propose a duplex option but our printer is not
a postscript one so I need to use the precedent driver.

It would be nice to add this feature to the pxlmono driver.

I think it is the same thing for most of the pxlmono drivers of the
ricoh section.

Please save the forest :)

STOP

The original Licence is the LGPL not the GPL one.

Maybe the easyeast way is to create a link named COPYING to the
/usr/share/common-licences/LGPL file

in /usr/share/doc/gazpacho

So no need to change the source code.

the maintenance will be easier.

Bug#310956: scons: problem with Environment.Copy

2005-05-27 Thread Frederic-Emmanuel PICCA
Package: scons
Version: 0.96.1-1
Severity: normal

Hello

the problem I found appear when I use scons on a windows XP Pro platform

Just uncompress the tar.gz file I provided in a windows machine with
scons install on it.
Go into the tmp2 directory and type scons RETURN

all I have done is creating a environment in the SConstruct file with a
PLATFORM initialized with os.name and exporting it for the SConscript
file. Then I printed env['PLATFORM']

In the SConscript I made a copy of the exported environment.
myenv = env.Copy() and then I printed the myenv['PLATFORM'].

So I need to see:

Linux:
posix
posix
.

Windows XP Pro:
nt
nt
..

but on windows I saw:
nt
win32

So it seems that the copy is not correct

Am I right ?

I obtaine the right attributes.

Now if I use another file with an enum in it (mode.h)
it works fine. strange...

the uml code generation from autodia is worst so umbrello seems to be
the only free as in beer choice for uml diagramm on Debian/GNU/Linux ;).

Have a nice day.

Bug#305319: anjuta: problem with copy and past

2005-04-19 Thread Frederic-Emmanuel PICCA
Package: anjuta
Version: 1.2.2-9
Severity: normal

Hello

so I will describe a problem with the copy and past procedure.

Open two files for editing.

Now you want to copy a part of the text from the first file to the
second one.
Select with the mouse the text from the first file.
press Ctrl-C
Now close this file by clicking on the cross near the filename in the
tab area.
Now try to past the previous selection with Ctrl-V into the second file.

You cannot.

Is it normal ?

Have a nice day.

Ps: Hope anjuta2 will be ready soon.
I don't have the knowledge to help programming but who knows :) one day.
